"Lindstrom remixed by (The) Todd Rundgren! This is the first remix that Todd Rundgren has ever done for another artist (at least what Rundgren nerds/experts have told us). Rundgren has been a big inspiration for Lindstrom, so this is a dream come through. Lindstrom has made an Extended Disco Version of 'Quiet Place To Live' exclusive for this 12"."

"With the latest album from dance producer Hans-Peter Lindstrom, Norway's latest entry in the space race has been launched out of the wooded outskirts of Oslo. Six Cups Of Rebel, Lindstrom's fourth solo album (his first to feature vocals), is a super-sized cosmic disco rocket that burns up a galaxy of eclectic influences in its wake, from Bach to Deep Purple, from prog rock and arpeggiator disco to acid house, while sounding sleek and utterly contemporary."

The Leftovers EP came about when Prins Thomas, Todd Terje and Smalltown Supersound were let into the Lindstrøm vaults, so to speak. Lindstrøm makes a lot of music obviously, and these were two tracks just laying around that he hadn't thought about releasing. These are some of his finest moments. His signature melodies and sound are all here ready to set dancefloors on fire.

"After the critically-acclaimed album A Feedelity Affair that compiled all of Lindstrøm's seminal 12"s, Smalltown Supersound follows up with this EP. The EP features the original version of 'The Contemporary Fix' as well as an alternative version by Lindstrøm himself called 'Serious Syntoms' version. Also features a fantastic remix from Eye of The Boredoms who delivers a raving tribal-disco mix that none other than Eye could produce, and a remix by the innovator of the Norwegian disco scene, Bjørn Torske. With this 10-minute long mix, Bjørn Torske proofs why he is one of the most talented disco/house producers in Norway, ever. The innovator & the star of the Norwegian disco/house scene, together, for the first time. And it is just beautiful!"

"Both Smalltown Supersound and Lindstrøm/Feedelity are from Norway and a mutual trust, respect and understanding led to this collaboration. Lindstrøm has obviously got many offers from record labels around the world, but he chose to stay independent and have control of his own music. Smalltown Supersound, on the other hand, found a soulmate in Lindstrøm and the perfect sound for the label in Lindstrøm's music. Lindstrøm fit perfectly with the label's electro/electronica/pop roster with artists such as Bjørn Torske, Tussle, 120 Days, Kim Hiorthøy, Toy, Lars Horntveth, Jaga Jazzist and Mental Overdrive, the core of the label being Norwegian electronic music. Lindstrøm's career took off after a string of critically-acclaimed 12" singles that alone started a movement the press later would call 'space disco.' He is also well known for his remixes and has among others remixed LCD Soundsystem, Roxy Music, Franz Ferdinand, Annie and DFA's Juan McLean. Last year Lindstrøm also released a duo album with Norwegian DJ and friend Prins Thomas, titled Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas, an album that was released on Eskimo Records to wide critical acclaim. His most famous track and 12", I Feel Space (released on both Playhouse and Feedelity), has now sold 17,000 copies, an impressive number these days for a vinyl-only release. But now it's finally time to compile all of Lindstrøm's seminal 12" on CD for the first time."

"Due to popular demand, one of 2005's Balearic anthems is back: 'I Feel Space' by highly respected Norwegian shooting star Hans-Peter Lindstrøm, now touched by the likes of Anu Pillai aka Freeform Five and the Berlin-Stuttgart Axis Messieurs Tiefschwartz and Turntablerocker."

"Bear Entertainment, Steve Kotey's label is releasing an EP with three tracks from Feedelity-artist and Nordish disco-don Hans-Peter Lindstrom. 'Jodleknappen' and 'Naa Er Bestemor Paa Moten' are 2 nasty tracks with lots of jazzy percussion and techno-ish disco-beats. Arthur Russell meets Carl Craig. 'Gang Sound' is another percussive track from Lindstrom with dirty disco-ish. Lindstrom's Fuzz Against Junk 'Country Klonk' 2004 remix in the pressing these days -- you better watch out!"

"'I Feel Space,' you feel space, we all feel space! Norway's own Hans-Peter Lindstrøm, one of thee remixers and producers at the moment, finds a new home in the Playhouse for his anthem 'I Feel Space.' Originally released in late spring on his own Feedelity Recordings imprint, this beautiful tune got props from nearly everyone during the last months. It's a journey through time and space as we're floating elegantly on this haunting melody, driven by heavenly handclaps and a mighty fat bass-drum. Get lost while dancing in the Mos Eisley cantina in the early morning after hours to the sounds of bubbling basslines, crazy cowbells and beatin' bongos! Now Berlin- based Get Physical stalwarts M.A.N.D.Y. heave the track to the other side of the moon to create their version for all somnambulists entering the dark side... M.A.N.D.Y. succeed in keeping the atmosphere of the original version but slightly re-interpret it in a more lugubrious way. Darth Vader voices and some 'hahaha' snippets thrown in by some famous Lou Reed-related N.Y. lady add to the intense feeling you get while listening to this remix. And you will ask yourself, following the break after four minutes, if YOU will be ready for the dark side as well."
