The Voices Of East Harlem's righteous singing was grounded in the smooth soul of Curtom legend Leroy Hutson's production and arrangement. Can You Feel It was their third outing, originally released on Just Sunshine Records in 1974. Curiously uplifting songs about love, standing up to the man, being yourself, and feeling it. This limited edition 24-bit digitally remastered CD reissue is housed in a sleek "mini-LP" sleeve, with a lyric sheet.

The Voices Of East Harlem were a 20-member soul ensemble, led by lead vocalists Gerri Griffin and Monica Burress. Their music was produced and arranged by the Curtom label's Leroy Hutson, Rich Tufo and Curtis Mayfield. Originally released in 1973 on Just Sunshine Records, this self-titled album is the group's second release, following an album for Elektra in 1970. The band's sound is a curious mix of blues, soul, and a sort of secular gospel, song by members as young as 12-years-old. Boosted by the warmth of the production, the album easily stands alongside some of the best '70s soul records as those released on the Curtom label. The album opens with the track "Cashing In," a rare groove classic. This limited edition 24-bit digitally remastered CD reissue is housed in a sleek "mini-LP" sleeve, with a lyric sheet.
