Dave Huismans (aka 2562) is now focusing on his techno-not-techno project A Made Up Sound again, after earlier releases on Shed's sought-after Subsolo label, Philpot and Clone. The releases on his own A Made Up Sound imprint were essentials for those who like their house and techno swung, bass-heavy and uncompromising. This first release on Delsin will probably be damaging dancefloors worldwide, finding fans with both old-school techno-heads and new-school bass junkies. Twice straight-in-your-face, uncompromising advanced music!

"Utterly sick new tracks from A Made Up Sound, otherwise known as Dave Huismans. 'Next' has all the necessary elements to go the distance -- the shimmy of garage hats and the insistent bounce of bass drum deploy themselves cannily around a sinewy keyboard line and a morphing echo chambered low end, niftily topped with heavy gated rewind sounds and contagious claps. Simple elements with a very tasty execution. Truthfully, though, it's all about 'Density' for us -- opening with evocatively styled Berlin dub chording, the track throws us a wrong turn instead diving out with a roving bass line which is pure garridge in all its glory. This is where the submerged 2 step influences apparent on the Aerial album bear full fruit -- fully formed shock-out materials. Limited edition with demand liable to far outstrip availability - do not sleep on this one!!"

"Philpot starts the new year with a new artist called 'A Made Up Sound.' The man behind this project from Den Haag, Dave Huismans, is dropping his first release and is definitely bringing some warmth and brightness to those cold days. 'Sunday' is working on an awesome beat with beautiful chords, crawling up your spine and settling in your mind 'till you are whistling it! Hit! On the flip 'Late Drive' is a more subtle disco-hook with charming beats and some unexpected moves...deep."
