REPOSE 019CD

2011 release. This really could be AMT's first "summer album." Unlike previous Cosmic Inferno albums this one doesn't reach in the red status often. It's more out there, like they've gone back to their mountain retreat and taken too much mushroom tea. But once it does finally soar, Kawabata's guitar has never sounded so alive. The first AMT&TCI studio recordings since the addition of Pikachu, drummer and vocalist with Osaka grenade-girl duo Afrirampo. The popular AMT standard 'Pink Lady Lemonade' showcases a 21st century acid rock update on the '60s San Francisco psychedelic sound. On 'You're From Outer Space,' the Cosmic Inferno crew give 'PLL' a new lease of life and reinvent it as a trippy/chilled out monster. As it rolls on, they sing, adding new riffs and taking it to the stars and back.

"Complete version of the 2005 gig played by Acid Mothers Temple & The Cosmic Inferno in Zagreb. The gig was filmed with three cameras by the genius Croatian film artist Niko Potocnjak, who also edited the double DVD History of Acid Mothers Temple. The sound was recorded to sixteen-channel digital and mixed by Kawabata himself to create an astoundingly high-quality live package. Tracks include 'Trigger In Trigger Out,' 'Pink Lady Lemonade,' 'OM Riff,' etc. The lineup of Acid Mothers Temple & The Cosmic Inferno at the time of this gig was: Tabata Mitsuru (bass, vocals: Zeni Geva, ex-Boredoms, Leningrad Blues Machine); Higashi Hiroshi (synth, guitar, chorus: Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O.); Shimura Koji (drums: Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O., Miminokoto, ex- High Rise, ex-Mainliner, ex-Nagisa Nite, ex-White Heaven); Okano Futoshi (drums: ex-Ghost, ex-Subvert Blaze, Andromelos); Kawabata Makoto (guitar, chorus: Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O., Gong, ex- Mainliner). NTSC format, region free. Limited edition of 1000."

"Just Another Band From The Cosmic Inferno is the debut album from the brand new configuration of the Acid Mothers Temple. Drained creatively like 'dinosaurs on the brink of extinction,' Kawabata Makoto decided to disband the highly successful Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso UFO lineup and replace it with something far heavier and much more powerful. Replacing the original lineup are deep-psych heavyweights including members and ex-members of The Boredoms, Ghost, Mainliner and Zeni Geva. With these ultra-heavy epic jams Kawabata Makoto has marked a new direction for his celebrated psychedelic collective. Appropriately, artwork was done longtime AMT fan and Sunn O))))/Khanate member Stephen O'Malley."
