This is the second full-length release for Wisconsin techno producer Arctic Hospital aka Eric Bray, and his first release for the new, Tokyo-based label, Latern. He has recorded a selection of well-received records, along with his first full length CD for Miami's Narita Records in 2006. He is also in charge of the electronics/mixing in the four-piece band, The World On Higher Downs. Neon Veils is up-to-date techno in the present/future sense. From the beginning to the end, the details are precise and imaginative, while keeping the tension on the tight and groovy beats. Neon Veils is a vibrant and colorful musical expression of experience, concentration and propulsive sound, recalling new techno, old techno, and everything else in-between.

"The mysterious Arctic Hospital returns with a prime slice of futuristic 4/4 goodness. Taking cues from the hazy neon cityscapes of Bladerunner or its namesake Metropolis, we are generously provided with four epic tracks oozing with sci-fi goodness. Kicking off with the dubby 'Our Metropolis' we are already propelled into the darker side of clubland; sleazy beats and narcotically enhanced synthlines forcing their way into the back door of the mind. Think underground New York clubs at 4am and you'll be on the right lines. On the flip we are treated to a remix of Yard's stomper 'Mitten' from his seminal Bloom EP; a crunchy electronic beast of a track, with a distorted beat more abrasive than unused sandpaper."
