Lurka
returns home with two sturdy riddems. "Forgotten Ones" is a distant distress call from a long-lost deep space vessel. The abyssal kicks and snares are orbited by skittering percussion, while undead samples drift over the bass line's encoded computer language. "Refresher" presents drums for a post-apocalyptic tribal initiation. Cracked digital artifacts litter the path while half-spoken voices lead us to a cascade of sinuous low-end theories. Ample proof that Lurka is one of the torch-bearers in the bass scene's creative renaissance.
