"Bedlam and it's earlier incarnations (Ideal Milk, Big Bertha, etc.) were a hotbed for launching the career of superstar drummer Cozy Powell (RIP), who later played with such major Hard Rock acts as Whitesnake, Rainbow, and Black Sabbath. In this earlier stage, we can hear the fantastic guitar playing of Dave Ball very influenced by Cream/Clapton, his brother Denny on bass and Cozy on drums. In fact this early incarnation of Bedlam called Ideal Milk was almost a tribute to Cream. Moving on later, singer Ace Kefford enters the picture for a short stint with the band where they change the band name to Ace Kefford Stand. Ace was the ex-bass player of the Move. The B-side of the record has the Big Bertha demos which had different singers including Denny Ball which also sang on Ideal Milk. The style is still similar to Cream/Jeff Beck Group, sometimes with an heavier edge predicting what was going to come after 2 years (meanwhile Cozy was with The Jeff Beck Group and Dave Ball joined Procol Harum). Reissue limited to 400 copies with insert that includes detailed song liner notes written by Denny Ball and rare pics. Remastered from the master tapes for best sound quality possible."

"1978 monster rarity from the progressive heavy rock underworld, über-cult album for the proto-epic metal freaks, up there with such legendary albums like From the Fjords from Legend, Armed to the Teeth by Asia, or Ashbury's Endless Skies. Also a must-have for any pomp-rock fan, with a mention in Acid Archives. Such is the talent and songwriting skills of California guitar-god Danny Alkana that this record can actually please different groups of underground rock fans from the '70s. From straight on rockers like the opener 'California Rock 'n' Roll Queen' and 'On Our Own,' to the progressive ideas in 'Montezuma's Revenge' ending up in the most pomp-epic heavy rock anthem 'The Tower.' These are 7 songs that everyone agrees: all killers, no fillers! Singing on this record is none other than Mr. Jack Rucker, who in the early 80's had a short but joyful career with the melodic epic metal gods Warlord. The value of this record is as big as it's music. Expected for years, finally now Acid Nightmare Records presents it in its original vinyl glory, sleeve art maintained intact even with the tracklist errors like the original. Finally we can rest in peace! Limited to 400 copies."

"Alpha Centauri was formed in Greeley, Colorado in 1971. The band performed its hard driving rock throughout the American Midwest for years opening for artists such as STYX and Uriah Heep. With a fairly strong US following, the band moved to Canada where they began to write original material. The result was 1977's long awaited eponymous debut on Salt Records. With the release of the album came more concerts as well as several radio and television appearances including the Canadian TV special Alpha Centauri In Concert from 1978. The band was then aiming for the UK, but management problems and road burnout led to the band returning to the USA, appearing on TV's Rock and Roll America. Alpha Centauri stayed on the road until 1983 when they finally broke up. In the '90s a resurgence of sorts occurred following a glowing review of their sole album in the International Encyclopedia Of Hard Rock And Heavy Metal stating them as the 'Worlds best undiscovered Pomp band'. '70s hard rock aficionados began scouring the globe for their only album. Nowadays a rare sought after gem in the collector's market, Acid Nightmare thought it would be the right time to reissue this hard prog pomp masterpiece on glorious vinyl. The record comes with insert and is limited to 400 copies."
