CLAAP 012EP

With the first compilation titled Alles Claap Vol. 1 label-head GummiHz has invited some of his favorite producers to remix songs from the label's catalog. This is the first single in the series, featuring two great remixes from two constant forces in the club scene -- Jimpster and D'Julz. Jimpster gives a totally new spin on "White Flowers" by GummiHz and Nikola Gala. D'Julz has cut, flipped and reversed all essential elements in GummiHz's "Ruff Passage" to a groove that keeps rolling non-stop.

John Dimas has made quite a reputation for himself, bringing a classic Chicago-style house sound with that irresistible signature swing. His tracks have been favorites with DJs like D'Julz, Shonky, Loco Dice, Chez Damier, amongst others. "Quick Dance" builds up effortlessly to an acid theme as a nod to the UK. The title track sexes things up as a soft voice sings a chorus repeatedly over a filtered electric piano and a dominant bass line. "Falling Skies" keeps the mood in swing mode.

Claap welcomes Bodj, an upcoming producer from Athens (GR). "Every Day" is a very classy house cut. Quite emotive with flowing rhythm patterns, it is an ode to everyday lovin'. On remix duties, Argy takes the track into a sweatier territory with his NYC dub mix, while his "Love Mix" explores a more romantic side of the original track. GummiHz rounds out the package with a bubbly "Night Fever" mix, a filtered disco house take, reminiscent of French house in the late '90s.

"Secret Voyage" taps into a more Balearic atmosphere -- a captivating arpeggio frames a very elegant arrangement of organic rhythmic elements. "Ruff Passage" is a dubbier cut reminiscent of ruff house producers of yore.

Claap's first release features a collaboration between two of Greece's finest exports in house and techno. Label owner GummiHz and Nikola Gala offer three tracks for your mind-trip, spanning jazz to ethnic.
