After taking a break to remix artists such as Ladyhawke, Santigold, Lana Del Rey, Little Boots, and Róisín Murphy, amongst others, Anu Pillai returns, collaborating with Gambian griot and master musician Juldeh Camara (a member of Robert Plant's Sensational Space Shifters band). As a multi-instrumentalist, composer, DJ and producer, Anu can skillfully meld the organic musicianship of Juldeh's Fulanese riti (a one-string violin) and kologo with his own studied electronic experimentation and guitar playing. Includes a remix by Prins Thomas.

Did you ever wonder what happens when a living legend remixes an absolute Eskimo classic? The answer lies in DJ Harvey's "Beach to the Bar" remix of "Mediterraneo" by Dr. Beat from San Sebastian. The lively track overlays a steady stomp of a beat with clattering drums, a walking bassline, and a bit of guitar shredding to create a full-force groove. Now also available on a heavyweight 12" with a special laser etch. Limited pressing of 500.

When the talented Michoacan released "D.S.S.G." a few years ago, the Eskimo crew fell instantly in love with the track. The original is a top notch crossover production that is situated somewhere between house, rock, and electro, with vocals catchy as hell. Eskimo now presents the Disco Sucks So Good remixes. Martin Dubka's remix has "disco" written all over it, while Tiger Stripes gives the track a sultry swing. Kasper Bjørke's spaced-out reinterpretation really finishes off this remix package.

Eskimo presents a 5CD box set in celebration of a decade of Eskimo Recordings. The first two CDs are retrospective and select the very best from the label's extensive back catalog. CD3 includes 12 new and unreleased remixes from the likes of DJ Harvey, Solomun, Deetron, Moonlight Matters, and many more. To conclude in style, there are two bonus mixes from The Glimmers, including a few exclusives, too. At 5 CDs and nearly 70 tracks, Eskimonde is a testament to Eskimo's decade-plus visionary output. It comes complete with a remix album that is testament to the respect they command from DJs and there are remixes from legendary figures and hot new talent. The elusive, cult figure Harvey turns Dr. Beat's "Mediterraneo" into a seagull and fuzzy guitar-laden, percussion-driven delight and remixer du jour Solomun mixes Low Motion Disco's "Love Love Love." There are more fast-rising stars and disco blog favorites included here: the mysterious Claptone tackles Dirty Minds' 'I'm for Pleasure' and Surrender! revive a vintage disco track from West Phillips. There are long-standing label favorites, too, like It's A Fine Line (Ivan Smagghe and Tim Paris) and Reverso 68 who rework L.H.A.S. Inc. and Stars On 33, respectively. Moonlight Matters remixes a track made the year he was born: Allez Allez's 1981 homage to Grace Jones' "African Queen." Eskimonde would not be complete without some fresh input from The Glimmers, and here they split up to provide a DJ mix each. There are exclusive remixes within that both get the Ghent treatment: West Phillips' 1983 tune "I'm a Sucker for a Pretty Face," reworked by Soulwax and The Glimmers' own unreleased remix of Aeroplane's "We Can't Fly" (previously rinsed to death on YouTube). The music within Eskimonde is well-heeled, organic and sensuous, teetering on the edge of disco and rock. It is, of course, beautifully packaged like its predecessors to be cherished by its owners. Other artists include: Ilya Santana, Letherette, Hot Toddy, Ron Basejam, Morgan Geist, Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas, Simone Fedi, Ewan Pearson, Downtown Party Network, Bottin & Rodion, Hiem, Stratus, Todd Terje, Low Motion Disco, Sebastien Tellier, Quiet Village, LSB, Maelstrom, Breakbot, In Flagranti, Visti & Meyland, Trentemøller, Dance Disorder, Radio Slave, The Neon Judgement, Tiga, The Sexmachines, Whitey, Oliver, Kris Menace, Blende, The Living Islands, Jean Winner, Zimmer, Drop Out Orchestra and DiskJokke.

Drop Out Orchestra's "It Will Never Be the Same Again" was one of the stand-out tracks on Aeroplane's In Flight Entertainment (ESK 504519). It didn't make the vinyl samplers back then, but now Eskimo presents the full package, including Moullinex and Punks Jump Up on remix duties. There's also a brand-new track from Drop Out Orchestra called "Sun Machine," which will be your summer anthem.

Eskimo Recordings presents the first in a series of double A-sided releases. Casio Social Club (aka Justin Winks) pays homage to the summer with "Nordic Lights." It's an upbeat disco track which is bound to get everyone on cloud nine and on the dancefloor. The second track sees Kolombo collaborating with Djuma Soundsystem. With "Cherimoya," this Danish-Belgian cooperation seems to work out perfectly.

Two monster remixes of both "We Can't Fly" and "Caramellas" from none other than Cassius and Joakim. Joakim adds a dub of his remix for good measure.
