From 1975, this is Baris Manço's masterpiece -- a stunning, cosmic, psychedelic, groovy conceptual album with fantastic electronics and a strong Turkish folk flavor, as usual. This is the first official, proper CD reissue, and it comes with a booklet with liner notes and photos.

Barış Manço was one of the leading, most influential and most beloved Turkish rock musicians, along with Erkin Koray, Edip Akbayram and Cem Karaca, and this is his first long-player, released in 1971 by Sayan Productions. It's a compilation of tracks taken from previously-released 45s, plus the track "Lory" that only appears on this album. Killer psych-rock with a strong Turkish flavor, this features Baris' all-time classics like "Derule" and "Dağlar Dağlar I," as well as the brutal, wah-wah flooded "Küçük Bir Gece Müzigi," with its infectious drumming that drives anyone searching for sampling stuff mad. Not to be confused with two different releases with the same name that actually have different tracklistings and artwork, this is the real album as it was originally released and the first legit CD reissue. Also includes a booklet with great photos of Barış and extensive liner notes.

In 1976, Barış Manço released his third album, which was actually also a compilation of songs previously released on 45s, as happened with his debut. For this CD release, and basically because of contractual reasons, Guerssen are presenting this compilation to you with a few changes: two of the original songs are not there, and instead have added six new ones, including one that was only released on cassette in Germany. So, what we get here, is a scorchin' collection of funky psychedelics done the Turkish way that will knock you out. Big Barış beats them all, the King of Anadolu Pop. Also included is a booklet with liner notes and photos.

One of the most obscure U.S. private pressings from the late '60s/early '70s. For many years, The Misty Hush Revival name was only a rumor whispered in collector's circles, with only a handful of copies known of the original album around today. Like The Bachs or The Index, this is one of those hard-to-describe albums which seems to live in a world of its own. Despite the late 1972 release date, the music here sounds more late '60s than early '70s and the whole album has a cool, lost-in-time atmosphere. The group were in fact a club band from New Jersey, but surprisingly all the tracks are originals -- no cover versions -- and they range from fragile, dreamy pop-psych numbers to raw garage, fuzzed-out jams and teen-beat sounds. Like Patrick Lundborg says in Acid Archives: "A cool, atmospheric trip for fans of the tri-state late '60s club sound." First time-ever reissue, remastered on 24-bit. Includes the original artwork and an insert with rare pictures and liner notes by Jack D. Fleischer.

Following the success of Guerssen's first Ahmad Zahir release, here's a stronger second chapter: a full double LP set. A new, exciting selection from this Afghani legend's proud discography, with his very own sound blending folk with pop and hits of psychedelia, the Afghan way. This second volume features a surprising marriage of Western music with Afghan melodies, and at the center, the crooning voice of a one-of-a-kind artist that happened to shake his country's musical and cultural foundations forever.

Anadolu pop doesn't get weirder than this! Back in 1979, two Turkish guys armed with electro-saz, guitar, drums and synthesizers were hitting the Turkish market in Germany where they lived, playing their sets of traditional-flavored electro-folk in weddings and circumcision feasts for Turkish emigrants in Germany. That's their crazy story, and that's their crazy sound. This is their third album, in a limited edition of 500 copies only. Comes with a booklet including liner notes.

Guerssen Records presents a major discovery with this special reissue of four astounding tracks by Catalonian psych band Grup Estel. It's hard to believe this was part of a Catalan Christmas album back in 1973: Psychedelic acid-folk and folk-rock with stunning fuzz-wah guitar, moog and incredible vocal harmonies, revisiting classic old Christmas songs from Catalonia. The band's psychedelic delirium is here remastered from the original mastertapes, pressed in 180 gram vinyl. Featuring new exclusive artwork printed in 350 gram carton covers. Including liner notes in Catalan, Spanish and English, plus unseen photos from the personal archives of some members. Limited to 500 copies.

Long-deleted Guerssen title now repressed in a limited deluxe version, with a thick carton cover and pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Germany, 1978. Absolutely early '70s-sounding progressive and psychedelic folk-rock masterpiece of the first order. Entirely sung in English by an incredibly young female vocalist, Beate Krause, only 16 years-old! Long tracks with excellent, killer acid guitar solos, and Moog. If you like groups like Mellow Candle or Pentangle, there's no doubt you need to purchase this one fast. Often praised as "the best prog-folk record ever," this is an absolute classic of the genre. Besides that, the original label pressed only 200 copies of the LP, so imagine how hard it is to find this now. So here you have a new vinyl reissue of this wonderful record, licensed by the band, with killer, remastered sound and an insert with photos and liner notes in a limited edition of 700 copies.
