Double LP version with poster and free CD version. Vinyl contains three extra tracks (remixes by Fybe:one, Milinal and Wols). The occasional fisherman and graduated psychologist Vlad aka Monokle is responsible for the third LP on Ki Records. The title of the record is Saints. It's already the fifth LP release for the producer from St. Petersburg. He's been making music since the mid-'00s and has a knack for massive creative output. As he says, he takes his inspiration from silence, and Eric Satie is one of his biggest idols. His favorite label is Warp, so it's no wonder that some of the nine tracks are reminiscent of music on the British label. But instead of quoting the sound of his big idols, he gives it an individual touch and continues the evolution of that certain kind of sound. His main influences were IDM and glitch, before he became more in touch with ambient and drone. All these different influences can be heard as sound fragments in his tracks. As in a kaleidoscope, these fragments unite; get torn apart and in the end, melt together again. Monokle says that music with simple rhythms and catchy beats "makes him bored pretty quick," so he got rid of static listening and producing structures to go forge his own path creating music.

On blue vinyl and very limited. "Swan" perfectly describes what Monokle means when he says that "simple rhythms and catchy beats get him bored quickly." He has his very own aesthetic approach to music and has a very fine hand for sublime melodies and atmospheres. On the B-side he teams up with Milinal. "Swan" gets a proper retouch by Daisuke Tanabe, who shares Monokle's love of deep soundscapes.

Christian Löffler is co-founder of Ki Records and well-known for his intense, deep-moving sound with melancholic undertones. After several stunning releases for Ki and Orphanear, the imprint of Dial's co-founder Pawel, this is his debut album, A Forest. His music signifies an upward curve of rising intensity from which everything non-essential drops away. If the kick drum thuds along reasonably unassuming in the beginning of a track, it is already withdrawn into itself. Dancing, but with one foot in a dream. There is the always-emerging crackling, surrounding the arriving and surrounding what has been, floating, like collapsing chords, circling around a sphere which is nearly beyond the music. And like seagulls chopping through hi-hats, or like the heavy sea's beating bass lines, these tracks roll back and forth with an oblique beauty. "A Forest," for example, casts somewhat Tejada-esque shadows but without the timpani, only with meandering delay. And yes, you will think of sunlight when you hear "Blind" or "Field." There is also "Signals," a track on which recalls Arvo Pärt and whose tintinnabuli (bell)-style connects it to the dancefloor in the most beautiful way. Not only does it raise the volume, it also warms the heart. Features contributions from artists such as Mohna, Gry and Marcus Roloff. Double vinyl version includes a CD of the entire album, plus a poster.

This is Christian Löffler's single before the release of his debut album on Ki called A Forest. Löffler took field recordings of the Aspen trees in Darss, Germany. The landscape near Darss is characterized by signs of storm and rough sea climate, but is also considered a popular health resort in Germany. The tracks on Aspen create this contrary atmosphere: noise and silence, destruction and peacefulness, electronic sounds and traditional instruments, which unite in harmony. In between deep bass lines and characteristic dub chords, as well as various sounds from field recording sessions and sometimes also acoustic instruments, this music is extremely warm and alive. Biodub tries to transform visual impressions into his music. He finds most of these impressions in nature but sometimes also in machines or buildings in connection with their environment.
