This release marks the third and possibly final release in Gregor Tresher's "Days" series. The lead cut here is a teasing little jitterbug with a skittish groove and delicate piano riff, while "Throwing Faces" is a tasty firecracker. As he states: "The crowd you hear on 'Throwing Faces' is not a random sample, but the actual Berghain crowd."

Luca Bacchetti leads Ovum back to house as he presents two beautifully warm, sun-drenched numbers. The bongo-heavy "On The Moon" will have you dreaming of summer as it bathes you in spine-tingling synths, beautiful melodies and dreamy vocals. The Balearic sounds of the title-track lead to the African rhythms and inspirations of "High Life," a track laden with vocal samples and powered by a potent piano riff.

This is the Ovum label debut from Steve Parker. Over the last few years, Steve's productions have seem him become a regular in the record boxes of the world's best. His deep and hypnotic sound, combining groove-heavy rhythms with a minimal-tech production style, sees Steve able to move effortlessly from sultry, warm basement sounds to full-on vicious arena moments. "Interstate" is a moody, relentless number. "Bodytrade" sees things bubble over with a romping, heads-down groove. "Escuro" returns the calm with its wonderful, warm depth.

Ovum presents a remix EP from Agaric's Who Made Up The Rules (OVM 9011CD). Josh Wink is onboard to remix the title track -- this is vintage Wink, pumping and building as only Josh can. On the B-side Axel Boman takes the hypnotic "Get Off My Mind" and makes it a funky house jam. Two amazing remixes of two incredible tracks that should be heard throughout the summer season and beyond.

Scoring the soundtrack of a new electronic frontier, the young New Yorker named "artist to watch" of 2011 by Mixmag and DJ Mag, MANIK delivered a prototype debut album Armies Of The Night (OVM 9012CD) for Ovum Recordings -- here is a 12" taster. Inspired by his surroundings in New York City as well as the 1979 cult classic film The Warriors, MANIK portrays the raw urban grittiness of the city and mimics the film's rendering of the underground gang world.

Scoring the soundtrack of a new electronic frontier, MANIK, the young New Yorker named by Mixmag and DJ magazine as the artist to watch for 2011, delivers a prototype debut album Armies Of The Night for Josh Wink's Ovum Recordings. As the trend for stateside dance music continues to take hold, MANIK propels it further forward with a sublimely original album. Stitched together by Ovum creator, Josh Wink, Armies... is a continuous ebb of energy that continues to surprise as it gains momentum. Inspired by his surroundings in New York City as well as the 1979 cult classic film The Warriors, MANIK portrays the raw, urban grittiness of the city and mimics the picture's rendering of the underground gang world. Track titles such as "We're From Coney," "City Kids" and "Don't Stop Don't Run" as well as frequent samples hint at this arcane theme. Touching on a slow and seductive take on house music that fellow Americans Soul Clap, Nicolas Jaar and Wolf + Lamb have brought to the forefront of consciousness, but elevating it to new plains fusing jacking beats, acid funk basslines, and creative hip-hop sampling techniques, MANIK carves his own niche sound through Armies Of The Night. A diverse collection that ripples across generations, Armies Of The Night reaches into the glamorous world of disco in "Nightfall," taps into classic jacking house for "Ruckus 8OH8," plays with urban flavors for "Haterville" (made specifically for the Haters) and "Another Day" and dives into the eerie, futuristic plains of techno in "Don't Stop Don't Run," all the while maintaining an intoxicating, nocturnal spirit. Interspersed with playful interludes featuring MANIK's peers and influences, this musical voyage continually involves the listener in an interactive story of how it came to be. The result is an album that matures with each listen, apt for every situation and a true reflection of MANIK's pure and honest musical philosophy.

Ovum is excited to bring you the debut EP from Nico Lahs which delivers two incredible slices of deepness. The Clouded Visions EP harkens back to the classic early Ovum sound, but this is clearly a 2011 version of it. "Late Night" is deep but pumping for any dancefloor. "All I Desire" has a classic NY feel, with the only thing missing possibly being a husky male vocal. This track can take you back to the Shelter. Two amazing, deep productions.

Gregor Tresher returns to Ovum with two funky monsters. "As Days Go By," which will move any dancefloor, is driven by an infectious bass line. It goes through peaks and valleys, but the end result is pure energy. "Moving Islands" is more of the same, but Gregor does it with a different twist. The groovy guitar riff funks things along with vocal snippets and organ stabs, making this a dancefloor destroyer. Two great tracks that will be sure to cause a ruckus.
