"Reissue of one of the rarest and most sought after releases from the Thai scene. Having been rated six stars by Hans Pokora (well deserved as this LP consistently sells for four figures locally in Thailand), this has become near impossible to source, even in its native county as many copies were destroyed over the years. A part of the Student Movement in Thailand, Caravan was forced into exile after the Thammasat University incident. As some of the founders of the 'Songs for Life' genre, the music contained on this album helped bridge the gap between the farmers and students, which in turn changed the political and social landscape of Thailand to this day. Arguably one of the most important albums ever released in South East Asia, this is not only a beautiful slab of ethnic folk rock, but has become a landmark in Thai history." Hand numbered, limited edition pressing with original artwork and remastered audio.

"Christelle is a 6 year old girl. She is happy. One day she meets an evil genius who makes her have bad hallucinations. Each song is one of her hallucinations. Reissue of a rare, 250 copy private press progressive rock album from France, rated five stars in the Pokora Books. Recorded on a four track Akai in the small town of Luxueil-les-Bains, this album was only sold at a few shows and in one local shop. Pressed at the small Le Kiosque D'Orphee pressing plant, this was truly a private offering with the band having made and glued the covers themselves. A long album, including the 14+ minute progressive gem 'Theme Guerre,' the music spans from lo-fi fuzz laden numbers to strong progressive songs with numerous bridges and changes. Conceptually a rock opera, but plays like a full length progressive album that could rival anything from France at the time. Remastered with wonderful sound quality, this is sure to open the ears of many who've overlooked the band until now." The CD editions features 4 bonus tracks not available on the LP, plus a booklet with photos.

""The self-proclaimed founder of the private press scene, Benny Soebardja is one of the most important figures from the Indonesian music industry. Having been a member of bands such as The Peels, Shark Move and the infamous Giant Step, Benny left his mark across many memorable albums throughout the years, including his contributions to the recent Those Shocking, Shaking Days compilation on Now Again. Recorded in 1977, Gut Rock is Benny Soebardja's second solo effort, an album that was released through the independent studio SM Recordings. Having been allowed unlimited studio time and creative freedom, Benny took 30 days to record Gut Rock, backed by both Giant Step & Lizard. With English lyrics penned with the help of Bob Dook, this is an incredible piece of music and a staple within Indonesian collectors' circles. With multiple seven minute songs, Gut Rock not only contains beautiful song writing and harmonies, but also complex arrangements that will appeal to progressive collectors. An essential Indonesian rock album." LP limited to 500 copies world-wide.

"Recorded in 1978, Night Train would be the last solo project Benny recorded with SM Recordings, and is potentially the rarest Benny Soebardja offering with cassette versions selling in the three figure range within the Indonesian market. Created around the same period Virgin Records UK showed interest in Benny's group Giant Step, Night Train would be the last appearance of Lizard in recorded format, and some even refer to the second side of the cassette as the second Lizard album. Unlike his other solo albums, Night Train had a small run promotional LP for radio, however it only contained half of the songs from the cassette, and has become one of the most sought after Indonesian artifacts along with Shark Move and Ariesta Birawa. Here, for the first time ever we present all 11 songs on LP in a beautiful gatefold sleeve. Once again it's full of wonderful harmonies and song writing, English vocals, and the progressive sound Benny made famous throughout his career. Another essential Indonesian rock collectible." Housed in a full-color gatefold sleeve. Limited to 500 copies world-wide.

"The self-proclaimed founder of the private press scene, Benny Soebardja is one of the most important figures from the Indonesian music industry. Having been a member of bands such as The Peels, Shark Move and the infamous Giant Step, Benny left his mark across many memorable albums throughout the years, including his contributions to the recent Those Shocking, Shaking Days compilation on Now Again. During the mid '70s, Benny also recorded solo efforts, which many regard as some of the best music to ever surface from the region. With the help of British poet Bob Dook, Benny recorded numerous English based songs filled with incredible musicianship and melodies that have an underlying progressive nature. Backed by the almost unknown Lizard (which contained members of both Giant Step and Harry Roesli's Philosophy Gang), his solo efforts are in line with the sound of his other bands, yet stand on their own as a unique progressive offering. Having almost been signed to Virgin Records UK in the '70s as a part of Giant Step, his talents were apparent and would be world renown by this time if not for his music being lost within Indonesia all these years. Here, for the first time we present to you his first three private press solo efforts, Lizard, Gut Rock and Night Train. Unlike many bands within the Indonesian scene, Benny had no label influence while recording these offerings, making them true private press recordings without any filler. All three albums are compiled as a deluxe-packaged 2CD set with a 36-page booklet full of concert photos, album covers, and information about Benny's musical history."

"First anthology from Indonesia's heaviest psychedelic and progressive funk rock group. CD housed in 'old school' gatefold sleeve with insert. AKA featured on Now Again's Those Shocking Shaking Days compilation (2011). Originating from Indonesia's second largest city, Surabaya, East Java, AKA is an acronym of Apotik Kali Asin. Starting off their careers as an infamous local band with notorious crowd pleasing antics, AKA regularly went through repertoires of Steppenwolf, Grand Funk Railroad, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Three Dog Night before finding a significant audience outside their home city. It was soon after that the band signed with a Jakarta based label, Indra Records that they started producing a steady release of albums, including 11 studio LPs and a couple of compilations. The lead singer Ucok Harahap - who famously idolizes James Brown- is perhaps the most notorious rock performer in Indonesia's pop history, infamous for brandishing (amongst others) coffins, whips and stripping naked on stage during performances. Sadly due to recording English based, heavy psychedelic/progressive funk, AKA's music failed to gain popularity at the time of its release. Today, AKA is recognized as one of Indonesia's top rock bands of all time, and for good reason. With this release, we are proud to offer an Anthology encompassing AKA's heaviest & funkiest moments."
