"Six and a half years after the release of his last album Into Submission on Tresor (Tresor 173), James Ruskin returns with The Dash, delivering prodigious new tracks that are not only stunning in contrast to his earlier dark and urban techno but even startling as the tracks unfold in bold innovation. With The Dash James Ruskin is in full control and weaves a work of penetrating electronica that shares dancefloor pieces with heady, downbeat soundscapes. An album of integral finery that will have you 'listening' more intently with each play."

Double LP version; one LP-only exclusive track. "These are electronic science fiction sonnets; aural choreography for other life forms; theorem engineering. Put 'XPUTE theWoopWoop' between your ears: the stark simplicity creates suspicion but you are drawn inwards. Both 'rogue PROTOCHI' and 'PROTOCHI rearMount' cautiously allow the drone to keep its prominence and you are infected without knowing it. The bass dredges a sublime saturation through many of the tracks (check 'SAGA' and 'PERCOL ecoDrive'), and even allows for a fantastic voyage you can take with your MP3 player on the go. If this is the first chapter, we can only imagine the futuristic, celestial steps Cristian Vogel will take before his engines are fit for human consumption."

"Even though Oscar Mulero has been a driving force on the Iberian Peninsula since techno music's earliest and loudest cries, his elucidation of this ever-changing electronic dance music style has clearly brought him to the forefront of the European and international scene. A literal icon of the new century, his producing, mixing, composing and DJ talent seem to be unstoppable, as apparent on his own labels Warm Up and Pole Recordings. The lucky clubbers in Madrid and all over Spain, who have praised him for more than a decade have also embraced the cooperation with Tresor Berlin, and the unforgettable guest gigs around Spain at packed Tresor parties, and gigs at the former Tresor Club in Berlin."

"Tresor Club Berlin: in the first two weeks of April 2005, a techno milestone in the Leipzigerstrasse was celebrated not only because of its final cut but also because of its lasting treasure: 14 days closing parties, 14 years of loyalty to the Berlin sound, to the Tresor Sound and to club culture itself. Not since the mid-'80s closing of Studio 54 in New York, at the dawn of techno's birth, has a dance club's final days received such international attention. And it became a summit for an amazing league of talented friends in the Tresor family who came from around the world to share their respect, rip the sound out of the ground in the Leipzigerstrasse and move it into the hearts of the clubbers who never wavered in their support. The same Tresor Sound that lives on without the Leipzigerstrasse because one thing is for sure: It's Not Over. The compilation title speaks for itself, and many of the top international electronic music artists who played at Tresor's last parties have produced tracks exclusively for the compilation: personal souvenirs in a memorial to a legend. This double CD / double vinyl collection is the ultimate frame to a landmark in club history, and the rousing list of friends includes DJ Rush, Joey Beltram, Dave Tarrida, Stewart Walker, Scan 7, Oscar Mulero, Gary Martin, Pacou, Steve Bicknell, Todd Bodine, Recyver Dogs, 3ST aka DJ Dry and more."

"All tracks unreleased and recorded exclusively for Tresor. Berlin Sessions is the first full-length album from Detroit techno originator Juan Atkins since 1998. When talking about the foundations of electronic music, or even techno music itself, mostly European names drop like Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, The Normal, Anne Clark, Eno...and Cybotron aka Model 500 aka Infiniti aka Juan Atkins. Mr. Atkins was unique in researching and experimenting with future electronics of American shores in Detroit long before the term 'techno' have even been used."

"Joey Beltram is back with a new album. To say 'back' is not exactly correct because he is constantly working and recording, releasing tracks on Tresor, on other labels and of course on his own label STX since his last Tresor longplayer Places (Tresor.078) in 1996. The New York legend has once again created a milestone in the electronic music spectrum, for the modern techno dancefloor."

"Live Extracts is the result of taking the exclusive and never before released sounds from his live show and re-orchestrating them with the full control offered by a home studio. From the hard minimal of Torso to the broken beats of 'Click To Next Frame' to the lush orchestral house of 'Red Sun Over Tobin Bridge'. Sometimes you feel like stretching the boundaries of synthesis and sometimes you just want to have fun."

"During the last decade no other club has been more written about than Berlin's Tresor, unleashing the trends of the time and making pioneering achievements with the worlds best-known DJs. Hidden directly behind the former demarcation line at Potsdamer Platz, this unquestionable cult spot for the techno genre is today jointly responsible for implicating the breakthrough for a new musical generation as well as the unification of the East & West Berliner youth. This decrepit cellar had become the germinating cell for the Berlin Techno scene and soon developed a call that went far beyond national borders. At the same time Tresor Records became the internal underground and electronic music company able to offer its artists a globally heard platform -- for almost 12 years now. The Tresor compilations always played a very special role within the artist album releases, combining the clubtracks at Tresor and on international dancefloors, the output of new talents and Techno originators -- as they were and are always unified during a kicking party night. Included here are a lot of tracks appearing for the first time on CD."
