Four remixes merge the profound character of the Douglas Greed album KLR into the groove of hand-picked producers. Rundfunk3000 re-design the experimental "Shiver" using their uplifting beats and warm instrumentations, Acid Pauli's version of "Pain" cunningly manages to balance its mood with a percussive cumbia rhythm and a cheerful South American soul. Mollono.Bass create a driving and hypnotic dancefloor interpretation, even escalating into chirping acid. Finally, there is an acoustic song version of "Morning Gloria" from the studio of Mooryc.

Just as different types of fish can be found in different waters, so, too, do the acoustic tales of The Micronaut take place in different regions of the emotional landscape: sometimes warm, sometimes fresh -- sometimes calm and stagnant, sometimes lively and floating. And just as all fish are connected by the water surrounding them, also this album has its connecting element: a very individual and independent groove. This groove comes with a lot of surprises. For instance, when a guitar chord from the acoustic band atmosphere of "Gründling" suddenly gets tangled up in a loop and introduces an unexpected but coherent change into the direction of broken, electronic beats. Or when the emotional world music elements of "Schleie" mix up with exciting halfstep rhythms. Sophisticated arrangements, unusual instrumentations and intense emotions -- these are the main attributes of Friedfisch. Though the experimental character of this work does not really aim for the dancefloor, it still keeps its connection to this place. Includes two remixes by Mollono.Bass.

Acker Records presents a 12" from the mysterious and possibly Mediterranean Rich vom Dorf. Easy guitar sounds waft with the warm evening breeze when the captivating "Senorita Rita" strolls along. Her Southern temperament also bewitches the trumpeters of "El Chicacabra," which hovers weightlessly above the rhythms and the trembling bass. Mollono.Bass' remix pushes it all even further by twisting fiddle and trumpet sounds around his unmistakable groove.

On "I Can See It" Carsten Rausch upholsters an elegantly-designed, minimal house groove with light melodic entries and vocals from Dan Morro (Funkwerkstatt), exuding a natural casualness as well as an understated erotic feeling. "What Are You Doing" comes with a lot of housey warmth. Adding an extra pinch of rhythmic spice, this title soars up to sweaty dancefloor thrust. On the remix, Mollono.Bass combines the casual club atmosphere of "I Can See It" with bubbling dub techno.

The four-person combo from Mecklenburg quote many different styles, re-combining the world's music in a unique way. Inspired by the classic Western adventures of Winnetou and Old Shatterhand, the galloping groove of "Iltschi & Hatatitla" is as frisky as the horses themselves. The "Vier Vögel" is a playful, lively, melodic jam session. Without losing the light-hearted atmosphere of the original, Kombinat 100 member Mollono.Bass puts in his remix a minimal emphasis on the electronic rhythm of "Iltschi & Hatatitla."

This release by Pupkulies & Rebecca distinguishes itself by a refreshing otherness. Light and easy piano as well as the lascivious French voice of singer Rebecca dominate the atmosphere, while its minimal electronic groove discreetly remains in the background. A tropical feeling evolves in the long version of this track when playful synthesizer chords give rise to a steel drum. In his remix, Mollono.Bass manages to combine the very song-oriented approach of the original with a bouncy electronic arrangement.

Featuring deep atmospheres and altogether slightly more electronic rhythms, the second part of Be Svendsen's Catchpenny & Cosmos series features an even greater variety of sound. Just like its name implies, the "Black Tower Hotel" is a wondrous and mysterious place. In his remix, Mollono.Bass delivers a rolling groove. "Jäger" gains experience with acid, minimalism and enigmatic wind instrument sounds. Last but not least, there is "Morgania," a laid-back song that does not aim the dancefloor.

Be Svendsen creates crunchy beats and bouncy basses -- no doubt, this is electronic dance music. "Solo Para Mi" is based on a functional yet driving groove, progressively escalating to ever new atmospheric peaks. Mollono.Bass takes up the summery-warm tone colors of the original in his remix but keeps it a little more dreamy and subliminal, while Eule:nhaupt & Molle:nhauer emphasize the song-oriented aspects. "Bulgarian Chicks" is strongly electronic, but there are also unconventional gypsy instrumental and vocal entries.
