"Finally available, as a vinyl only release, the first recording of the legendary 2010 Progvention. Garybaldi acted as an opening act for the festival and their gig is an amazing travel along their greatest tracks, with the incredible live vibe that was Garybaldi's trademark from the beginning. As Garybaldi records have always had special covers realized by famous painters, after Crepax and Guarnaccia, this time it's the turn of world famous Pietro Spica that realized a truly amazing artwork!" "One of the most experimental bands of the Italian prog scene, Dedalus were founded at the beginning of the '70s by Michele Bonansone (keyboards, cello, vocals) and Marco Di Castri (guitar, saxophone) in Pinerolo, near Turin. Their first eponymous LP consists of instrumental jazz-rock compositions, influenced by artists like Nucleus, Miles Davis, Soft Machine, Stockhausen and many other musical innovators of the time. Dedalus was originally released in 1973, and in the same year the band took part at the Avantgarde and New Trends Festival in Naples, being pointed as the real revelation of the event. The album, enclosed in one of the most peculiar Italian prog artworks by Cesare Monti, already contains some of the avant-garde hints which would be fully developed in the following Materiale Per Tre Esecutori E Nastro Magnetico. Available as black audiophile 180gr. vinyl." Housed in a full-color gatefold sleeve.

"When we announced the reunion of Alphataurus in 2010, after over 35 years of silence, many people waited for the usual odd nostalgia concert without major consequences. This proved not to be true, as the gig of November 6 was a memorable event for the lucky 700 people who came at the Bloom in Mezzago, a really great gig for passion and energy and the few who were lucky enough to see the band yesterday and today, confirm that Alphataurus has not lost an ounce of energy and enthusiasm that made them, forty years after their only LP, one of the most esteemed and beloved bands of the Italian seventies prog scene. After the success of that show Alphataurus did not stop, as the band promised to return on stage and studio permanently. As a first comeback, we propose the professional recording of that memorable evening, witnessing one of the greatest live comebacks of Italian prog. The dove is back! The vinyl release contains all the tracks of their debut work played live. Artwork by Adriano Marangoni, the same of their legendary debut! Available as black audiophile 180gr. vinyl." "Contamination was released in 1980 as a soundtrack for the eponymous horror/science fiction film, during what probably was the most prolific period in Goblin's career, even if the band had already been abandoned by guitarist Massimo Morante and keyboardist Claudio Simonetti. Unknown by most listeners, it's a release that deserves more attention, since it shows a wide range of music styles (jazz, funk, rock, electronic) and once again Goblin's ability in writing film scores."

"Patrick is an Australian thriller/horror movie made in 1978; at the beginning of the following year, Goblin were asked by the Italian distributor of the film, De Laurentis, to write a new soundtrack --originally composed by an Australian musician called...Brian May! -- for the Italian movie market. The result is a mix of old songs added by the Cinevox record label and new selections, strongly influenced by Alan Parsons Project."

"A quartet from Rome, though their singer Vincenzo 'Lord Enzo' Massetti came from Naples, they debuted with a single in 1971. The album, simply called I Teoremi, is one of the rarest Italian prog-era albums, though not a proper prog LP, as it contains a hard rock inspired sound in the same style as early Rovescio della Medaglia. It was released in 1972 on the small Polaris label, that also produced the Alpha ralpha boulevard LP by I Numi, and contains seven self-penned tracks, mostly in the hard rock vein, with light prog influences as in the long 'Mare della tranquillita', the only track including piano. A very good album whose original copies are worth a fortune. An incredibly rare album, this reissue is a perfect replica of the original one, with a textured gatefold cover and a flap on the right side as the original."

"Another band that deserved much more consideration than they got, Murple released a single beautiful album in 1974 on the German Basf label, one of very few Italian releases on this label, that didn't care to promote the group at all and issued the record long after its recording. It's a shame, because Io sono Murple is a very well-regarded album, well presented in a fantasy cover and with lyric insert, and very well played by this experienced four-piece from Rome. The album contains a long suite divided on the two sides, based on the story of a penguin, and even if the lyrics are somehow naive, the music is very good, with classical inspirations especially in the keyboard playing and nice guitar parts. Vinyl reissue with the same gatefold cover and insert as the original from 1974. The first 300 copies are pressed in green vinyl."

"Roller was the second record for Goblin, originally released in 1976, just after the successful score of Profondo Rosso, and is one of the very few Goblin records that was not intended to be a soundtrack. By many considered their best effort, in Roller the band develops their dark, hypnotic and totally instrumental sound, but with an always vivacious and dynamic edge. The record also features new members Agostino Marangolo (from Flea) and Massimo Guarini. 300 copies limited pressing in beautiful picture disc."

"Probably the most scary soundtrack Goblin has ever written (don't listen to it when the lights are down!), apparently it seems that the score was composed before the film was ready, so that director Dario Argento had to make some changes to the movie script, in order to have the music perfectly suited! This legendary soundtrack combines elements of music and sound scary effects going far beyond traditional background scoring, becoming an integral part of the film. As critics say nowadays, Suspiria music 'is so perfectly integrated into the film, fares less well as a stand-alone item. All that pounding, howling, thumbing, and wheezing is enough to send chills down your spine even without the movie images (it is the perfect imaginary soundtrack), but not all of it could be called a pleasant listening experience (unless your idea of pleasant is having your nerves set on edge).' 300 copies limited pressing in beautiful picture disc."

"After a lengthy silence, Goblin reunited in 2000, again for a soundtrack for their long-time friend Dario Argento. As a matter of fact, NonHoSonno (sleepless) will be the last record made by the original line-up, and for many fans this is one of their best works, if not the best ever. Of course the original sound of the band is filtered by a more modern production, and the band focuses on symphonic synths and rather heavy guitar work. Surprisingly enough this soundtrack works great even as a stand-alone record. Songs are catchy and there are no weak moments, which are pretty normal for traditional soundtracks. An amazing and outstanding comeback! Still this is the Goblin we love: heavy, doomy, creepy and dark! Please note that Nonhosonno has never been reissued on vinyl ever." On colored vinyl; includes poster.
