Pink vinyl version. It's not every day you hear about a new Lost Animal album. In fact, it's been ten years between drinks. So what happened, and where's frontman/mastermind Jarrod Quarrell been for the last ten years? Amongst a sea of rock bands, LA is essentially a solo act. Simply put; LA is JQ. But on the other hand, amongst an ocean of solo acts, LA possesses the grandiosity of a full band, punk in spirit, but without being fast, or heavy. Armed with keys and synths, timbres align more with what a toucan might listen to, as opposed to what's heard commonly throughout Melbourne's gig economy. Strings are gently plucked and horns are tenderly blown. These are the colorful brush strokes that decorate the upper frequencies. They're the ticket to a far-away land -- exotic, and potentially very dangerous. The album examines the underbelly of what a ten year journey might rub up against. As one may expect, a lot of that action is below the belt. Rewinding, a few things have happened in the past ten years that are worth illuminating. Shags is no longer commandeering the bass full time. Though he does make an appearance on a couple tracks. The main difference from present day to yesteryear LA is Dan Luscombe (The Drones). Luscombe has jumped into the role of producer (and also part of the live band). One could say he's a producer of the Spector-ilk: playing a hands-on approach and assisting Quarrell's song crafting. He may have suggested to add a chorus or two, but the chord progressions remain distinctly Lost Animal. But the album's defining feature is arguably Quarrell's lyricism. He may not cross-examine where he's been, but his voice does unmask where he is: absolved and reincarnated. The decade-long journey has resulted in him looking inwards and unlocking himself. The album's many mantras suggest that he may be a bird (I'm a Bird Now), or that he is living on another planet. Whatever and wherever he may be, Give Some Get Some invites the listener to reflect on their own journey over the past decade. Because the game's got a price.

Wewantsounds presents Comme à la Radio: On Air, a limited-edition companion to its expanded edition of Brigitte Fontaine's landmark 1970 album Comme à la Radio. Featuring previously unreleased live recordings made for the French ORTF radio between 1969 and 1971 with Areski Belkacem and a host of outstanding musicians, the set is complemented by unissued studio recordings, including two instrumental versions of the title track and the complete 10-minute take of "Leo." Newly remastered from the original tapes, Comme à la Radio: On Air offers a unique insight into the making of one of the most groundbreaking works in French music. The package also includes a four-page bilingual booklet featuring an essay by Brigitte Fontaine biographer Benoît Mouchart and an introduction by Saravah's Benjamin Barouh. This companion collection uncovers a remarkable selection of previously unreleased live and studio recordings dating from 1969 to 1971, offering an unprecedented insight into one of the most adventurous bodies of work in French music. The first part brings together a series of live recordings made for the French ORTF radio between 1969 and 1971. Captured in different settings and featuring Areski Belkacem, Steve Potts, Robin Kenyatta, and Ronnie Beer, these performances trace the evolution of Fontaine's repertoire. The second part returns to the original Saravah studio sessions with a selection of previously unreleased recordings that illuminate the making of the album. Highlights include the original instrumental version of the title track alongside a previously unheard alternate take, revealing the extraordinary interplay between the musicians. Together, these recordings offer a fascinating glimpse into the creative process behind one of the defining albums of the French avant-garde. Together with the expanded edition of Comme à la Radio this second set offers the most comprehensive insight to date into the making of Brigitte Fontaine's landmark album and the boundless creativity that surrounded it. Limited to 2,000 copies worldwide

LP version. "With the writing and recording of Blood That I Spill Turns To Fire, the aim was to keep it raw, heavy and groovy. Expanding our musical trajectory. Adding a lil more melody to vocals as well. We recorded with Joona in Studio Underjord and we told him right away that we want to keep it raw and dirty. For this record we brought in Tommy Hanning on drums, he was in Firebreather at the time of the recording of our first album so we knew he was capable. We were in between drummers when it was time to hit the studio for our fourth album and he was kind enough to learn the songs from his home, he lives way up north in Sweden. He flew down to jam with us for one weekend and after that we hit the studio. All in all we think we came out with a raw, heavy and to us, moving record. We hope it'll move other people too."

Here is a very special reissue, a landmark in the history of Spanish pop music: "La chica de plexiglás" and "La visión," the first two singles by El Aviador Dro y sus Obreros Especializados (released in 1980 and 1981), together with two tracks rescued from a lost 1980 recording session that were never released as a single. The collection is presented exactly as it was originally compiled on a 1983 mini-LP. To this day, this remains the most advanced techno-punk ever made in Spain. Think a Spanish version of Kraftwerk meets Devo meets The Residents. Futuristic electronic music created back when computers were the size of an entire room. Out of print since 1985, Munster are delighted to bring this groundbreaking gem of early-'80s Spanish pop back into circulation in collaboration with Discos Banana.

Double cassette version. Décima Víctima were a Spanish band that, during their short-lived career between 1981 and 1984, developed a very personal sound reminiscent of Joy Division, The Cure, and other British post-punk bands. Although commercial success evaded them, rarely has any Spanish band achieved such a high degree of quality and coherence in their music and personality. Despite only being active for under three years, Décima Víctima left a long-lasting legacy, and their influence would later be heard in Spanish bands such as Family, Los Planetas, and Sr Chinarro. The story of Décima Víctima started in 1981, with Carlos Entrena rehearsing with Lars and Per Mertanen, and a drum machine, in the cellar of the Mertanens' house in Madrid. A few months later they made their first studio recording, a demo recorded on a 4-track. And shortly after, with their friends from the band Esclarecidos, they started the independent label Grabaciones Accidentales (GASA) and were able to start releasing their own records. Their first single was released in 1982, featuring Lars on drums. Shortly after, Esclarecidos introduced Jose Brena to them and he joined Décima Víctima as drummer. This set comprises the complete recordings of the band throughout their career, from 1982 to 1984, now reissued for the first time. Their LPs (Décima Víctima, Un hombre solo and En el garaje), early EPs, Un lugar en el pasado 12" and demos. The artwork has been designed by the band members themselves, and the set also includes a 12-page booklet with notes and photos.

Not every great record got the audience it deserved. Originally released on CD in 2005, Iwô-Jima Party was the fourth album by Obligaciones, a band from Vitoria-Gasteiz (Basque Country) operating in the dangerous territory between punk, garage, '70s hard rock and raw rock'n'roll. But Iwô-Jima Party is much more than sheer force. These ten carefully crafted songs are driven by serrated guitars, a crushing rhythm section, hard-hitting Spanish lyrics and melodies that stay with you long after the initial impact. The album carries the urgency of punk and the weight of classic hard rock, but also something far less common: truly accomplished songwriting hidden beneath all the noise and aggression. The band's musical DNA shares connections with Motörhead, Rory Gallagher, Cicatriz and The New Christs, yet Obligaciones never sound like a mere imitation. They transformed those influences into something unmistakably their own: dark, abrasive, melodic and emotionally uncompromising. The original sessions featured musicians connected to Señor No, MaCarraDa, Los Padrinos, Látex, Vagón de Cola, and Sindicato de Músicos. Produced by Peio Riotegi, the album also includes a ferocious version of Otis Redding's "Love Man." More than twenty years later, Iwô-Jima Party has lost none of its impact. It still sounds urgent, dangerous and remarkably alive. BANG! Records now presents this overlooked Basque punk-rock powerhouse on vinyl for the very first time: newly remastered and strictly limited to 300 copies.

The 12 song titles and lyrics come from the 12 chapters of the book Le Renoncement, backed by music with all his trademark sounds: fuzz guitar, analog synths, weird drum machines, and space organ.

RELEASE DATE: 10/30/2026
As a follow-up to Munster's previous work reissuing the recordings of Pau Riba, key figure in Catalonia's counter-culture and music scene, the label now presents Jo, la donya I el gripau (1971). Released just a couple of years after his revered Dioptria, this remarkable work is regarded as one of the earliest D.I.Y. albums in the history of Spanish pop music. At the time, Riba was only 23 years old. Escaping an increasingly hostile Barcelona, Riba and his partner, Mercè Pastor, moved to Formentera, where they would spend the next four years. The album was conceived during this period of "hippie" living. As they became part of a growing community of young people drawn to the island by a new, nature-centered way of life -- completely different from that of the tourists who also visited Formentera -- they also discovered LSD. Playing and singing under the influence of acid opened the door to an entirely new creative universe. When Riba returned to Barcelona, the ideas he had originally developed for the follow-up to Dioptria before moving to Formentera were completely abandoned, and the project evolved into something altogether different. The album was recorded in Formentera using two battery-powered film sound recorders -- a Revox and a Nagra -- in order to capture every nuance of the island's idyllic surroundings. The result was Jo, la donya i el gripau, an extraordinary psychedelic folk album that not only celebrated Riba's life with his partner Mercè -- the Donya -- and the birth of their son Pauet -- the gripau -- but can also be understood as the concluding chapter of a trilogy whose first two installments were the two volumes of Dioptria. An essential album. Includes an insert with liner notes and photos.

Los Incas Modernos hold a pioneering place in the history of Peruvian rock as the first band in the country to record a full-length album. Formed in the early 1960s, they developed a distinctive sound by blending the energy of surf rock with the musical traditions of the Andes. This album stands as a landmark in Latin American music. Tracks like "Carnavalito" and "Terremoto" showcase an innovative approach for their time, bringing together electric guitars and Andean influences to create a sound that was both original and ahead of its era. The album's success led the band to share the stage with some of Peru's leading rock groups (Los Shains, Los Belkings, Los Silvertones, Los Doltons) while appearing on radio, television, and major venues across Lima -- all before any of its members had turned twenty. Today, this reissue offers the opportunity to rediscover a defining chapter in Peruvian rock: an album that still captures the creativity, freshness, and spirit of a generation that forged its own musical identity and left a lasting legacy. This is a joint release with the Peruvian label Rey Record and includes an insert with notes on the band's history. First time reissue.

From the early 1960s onward, Claudia (or Claudya, as she would later be credited on her records) became a moderately successful ye-yé singer in Spain. In 1970, probably in a belated attempt to embrace the soul music craze that had also reached Spain by then, she released this single featuring two dancefloor-friendly, fresh-sounding versions of Anglo-American hits: "Un millón de lágrimas," originally a hit for the American rock band The Grass Roots, and "No te creas tú que tan loca estoy," a Spanish adaptation of Bill Deal & The Rhondels' "What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am." More than 50 years after its original release, Munster present the first-ever reissue of this highly sought-after single, featuring these two outstanding slices of soul made in Spain.

Valley of the Sun is a three-piece consisting of Ryan Ferrier (guitar, lead vocals), the band's founder and sole remaining original member (2010-present); Chris Sweeney (bass), who joined in 2018; and Johnny Kathman (drums), who joined during the band's transition back to a power trio for the Quintessence era in 2023. Brown color vinyl version. Anti Fade Records presents the third pressing of Sydney-based R.M.F.C.'s classic debut LP, Club Hits. For those who read these things without listening first, you might ask: what does this R.M.F.C. sound like? If you could say anything about post punk it means post-Wire, who were past punk before punk had an opportunity to codify and become brilliant and stupid. Few bands manage to sound like all three Wire records, but R.M.F.C. are a Rock Music Fan Club. Anyone paying attention to underground Australian guitar overdose would relate: the R.M.F.C. Club Hits LP has been the culmination of five years of work, patience and discipline. If you've heard these songs live at any of their shows over the past couple of years you'll understand -- the wait is over and the result is exhilarating. Thinking of bands like Royal Headache, Dick Diver, and Eddy Current Suppression Ring, there's even been a fairly recent tradition of expanding styles of rock and roll (let alone the bigger, famous rock-centered acts). The Sydney based R.M.F.C., and the scene (or friend circle) from which it's emerging, is carrying a torch of rock music which has the potential of a wider appeal. Written, recorded and mixed by Buz in Burrill Lake and Sydney between January 2022 and April 2023. Mastered by Mikey Young. Painting by Oscar Sulich. Photos by Michael Vasila.

Double LP version. Wewantsounds reissues Brigitte Fontaine's landmark 1970 Saravah album Comme à la Radio, recorded with Areski Belkacem, Wadada Leo Smith, and the Art Ensemble of Chicago. This new edition pairs the original album with rare bonus material. The release is accompanied by a lavish 24-page bilingual booklet featuring an introduction by journalist Andy Beta, essays by Wadada Leo Smith, Brigitte Fontaine biographer Benoît Mouchart, and Benjamin Barouh, plus a recent interview with Brigitte Fontaine and the late Areski Belkacem. The booklet also includes complete lyrics and a selection of rare archival photographs by Jean-Pierre Leloir and Philippe Gras. Comme à la Radio was originally released in 1970 on Pierre Barouh's cult Saravah label, fusing Fontaine's radical lyricism with Areski Belkacem's minimalist compositions and the fearless improvisations of the Art Ensemble of Chicago and Wadada Leo Smith. Its title track has since become a cult classic in jazz and groove circles. The album has been newly remastered from the original tapes and is reissued featuring 11 bonus tracks. The original album is presented in restored clarity, while the bonus tracks gather rare non-album singles, English-language takes, alternate versions and previously unreleased instrumental recordings showcasing the Art Ensemble's artistry, including the elusive English version of Comme à la Radio, and a striking early version of "L'été L'été." Comme à la Radio stands as a visionary landmark of French music and a defining statement in Brigitte Fontaine's career. This expanded edition confirms its enduring influence more than fifty years after its original release. The reissue is announced alongside its companion Comme à la Radio On Air, a deluxe 2-LP set presenting previously unreleased ORTF live recordings and additional studio rarities.

Limited black vinyl edition of 400 copies worldwide. in reverse board sleeves with double sided lyric insert and front cover sticker. P.P. Rebel is the harmonium-led, spiritually inspired project of Melbourne artist Paris Rebel Richens (Singer of Parsnip, Hierophants), who has been making all kinds of extraordinary sounds over the past fifteen years and has more recently found a new direction through the spiritual path of Kriya Yoga. Drawing on both Eastern spiritual traditions and Western influences such as The Incredible String Band, The Velvet Underground, Syd Barrett, and Skip Spence, P.P. Rebel has developed a sound distinctly its own: beautiful, calming, spiritually charming songs for the soul. Devotee was produced by Jack Crook at Sound Recordings on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, and mixed and mastered by local hero Mikey Young, resulting in a sound that feels natural and honest -- blending classic textures with Paris' reflective perspective and spiritual focus. The album artwork was created by Paris using pressed flower petals collected from altar arrangements at group meditations -- a process inspired in part by the work of Sally Stang. The central bird form is based on a photograph by Joel Sartore of a Superb Parrot, which Paris reimagined after noticing its resemblance to praying hands when viewed upside down. P.P. Rebel's debut is an album filled with love, joy and optimism, to be welcomed and enjoyed in any household.
