Delayed... "B.B. King, the 'King Of The Blues' is an undisputed music icon. In a career spanning seven decades, he sold in excess of 50 million records, won 20 Grammy Awards, and played alongside artists such as Bono, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder. A hard-working musician, King toured the world several times over, taking his extraordinary blues from the margins to the mainstream. His emotional and sophisticated soloing on his Gibson guitar, 'Lucille,' coupled with his subtle vibrato style, influenced a diverse range of artists, including, Keith Richards, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Richie Sambora, and even 50 Cent. This fine collection brings together some of King's greatest early blues numbers. From his first hit single, 'Three O'Clock Blues,' timeless tracks such as 'Woke Up This Morning' and 'Everyday I Have The Blues,' the epic double sider 'Sweet Sixteen' finishing with his early sixties classics, 'Someday' and 'Peace Of Mind.' King was a pioneer from the very beginning, with this collection demonstrating just why the British blues bands of the late sixties revered him as a guitar god. King was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall Of Fame in 1984, the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame in 1987, received the National Academy of the Recording Arts and Sciences Lifetime Achievement Award and awarded the Presidential Medal of the Arts in 1990. In 2006 he received the Medal of Freedom, America's highest civilian honor."

Dharmacide is a Spanish band known for their eclectic fusion of genres, blending elements of shoegaze and dreampop music. Tougher Than the Rest is their awaited second album. They take a step forward with a darker sound with gloomy riffs and ethereal voices in which they describe perfectly how the sound of a night full of random events would be like. "The Cigs, The Light, The Coffee and Crying," the LP's first single, features a powerful reverb-laden riff with a solo vocal melody in the middle of the chaos until breaking into a powerful chorus. Dharmacide's sound is marked by intricate guitar riffs, powerful drumming, and deep, emotive vocals that create a unique atmosphere. The band, with members of Alcalá Norte and Depresión Sonora, has made a huge impact on various stages, performing at renowned venues and festivals, including iconic spots in their home country as well as internationally, earning praise for their high-energy performances and thoughtful compositions. Their latest singles have been produced, mixed and mastered by Mark Gardener from Ride. Their sound is influenced by today's bands like Diiv, Warpaint, or Beach House but also by classic artists like Cocteau Twins, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and Tom Waits.

RELEASE DATE: 10/10/2025
Essential Liverpool psychedelic folk collective mapping their territory with a record rooted in place and memory. Professor Yaffle have created their most focused and expansive work yet. Following acclaimed previous releases, Everyone Wants to Dream finds the band at their creative peak. The album turns on Everton Brow -- an unremarkable Liverpool hill offering the city's finest view. Rogers returns to this vantage point throughout eight tracks, using it as both setting and metaphor for looking back on life without nostalgia. From here, you can see the Mersey stretch toward Snowdonia, the city spread below like a living map. "Lost in a Dream (On Everton Brow)" weaves Lee Roger's lyrics as an eighteen-year-old lyrics with newly composed music. "Everyone Wants to Dream" confronts the disorientation when your children grow and your role shifts. "On Top of the World" becomes what Rogers calls "a stoned love letter to Liverpool." This is Professor Yaffle's first release with Violette Records, marking the beginning of a partnership between two Liverpool entities who've circled each other for years before finding their moment. Featuring a 1979 Karl Hughes photograph of a policeman surveying Liverpool from Everton Brow, capturing something essential about the record: that those who maintain order might dream the biggest dreams of all. For fans of: CSNY, Tim Buckley, Talk Talk, The Byrds, Sufjan Stevens, Love, Tame Impala, Nick Drake.

Wewantsounds reissues French pop icon Brigitte Fontaine's landmark 1968 album Brigitte Fontaine Est Folle, originally released on the cult label Saravah and arranged by Jean-Claude Vannier. This special, approved by the artist, features the original album, newly remastered from the original tapes, along with demos, instrumentals, and a live rendition of "Il Pleut" recorded for France Inter/ORTF. The release also includes a 20-page bilingual booklet with introductions by journalist Jeremy Allen and Stereolab's Laetitia Sadier, essays by Brigitte Fontaine's biographer Benoît Mouchart and Benjamin Barouh, plus full lyrics and rare archival photos. Brigitte Fontaine needs no introduction. An inspiring figure in French music since the 1960s, she has long been revered by a wide array of musicians -- from Stereolab to Sonic Youth, Beck, and Jarvis Cocker. Originally released in 1968 on Pierre Barouh's cult Saravah label, Brigitte Fontaine Est Folle shattered conventions. Fusing Fontaine's lyrical brilliance -- tackling themes like death, social revolt, and female desire -- with Vannier's lush, funky arrangements, the pair created a work that was ahead of its time. The release offers a selection of rare and previously unreleased recordings, including demos -- recently unearthed by the album's composer, Olivier Bloch-Lainé -- instrumentals showcasing Vannier's skills, and a groundbreaking 1969 live rendition of "Il Pleut" recorded for France Inter/ORTF. This version features Malachi Favors on bass, forming a direct link to her next LP, Comme à la Radio, recorded with the Art Ensemble of Chicago. Rebellious, witty and timeless, Brigitte Fontaine Est Folle is a landmark work by an artist who not only redefined French pop but also expanded its boundaries on the international scene. This deluxe edition stands as a vital document of her enduring legacy and one of the most original voices in modern music.

"The shaman of the six-string is back. Waving his axe of choice, Sir Richard Bishop once again summons forth damnable truth and beauty on an all-new musical kamikaze run through histories both written and -- as of yet -- not commonly known. Since the dying days of the 20th century, the composer/player of spirited polytheistic guitar recitals including Salvador Kali, Improvika, The Freak of Araby, Tangier Sessions, and most recently, Oneiric Formulary has worked feverishly to wrench and wrangle all the music that has and can possibly fall out of the guitar from east to west. With Hillbilly Ragas, Sir Rick stretches his callused hands across the waters to draw diverse musics back to his shack with the gladiatorial bloodthirst and balance of gravitas and jocosity listeners can expect from him in every hot little moment of play. But there's more to be said than these merely glib rantings as to what happens when traditional music heads for the hillbillies:"
"There were a few different approaches I utilized for this release. First and foremost, I wanted to go back to basics, to strip away any excesses and keep it as simple as possible: one man, one acoustic guitar, no overdubs, no effects, no electricity. Taking several cues from the sounds most often associated with the so-called American Primitive guitar style, I wanted to avoid any traditional approaches and instead try something more-raw and aggressive, concentrating more on rhythm and movement as opposed to anything predictable or overly melodic, while also keeping my particular interpretive ideas about East Indian Raga in the mix. I've always felt that the majority of what is considered to be American Primitive music, while certainly based on historical American musical traditions, never really had any sounds that I personally thought of as being primitive -- it always seemed too orderly, too developed, and too safe? During the recording process I was envisioning an undiscovered mountain man or "hillbilly" who had remained hidden in his own private backwoods; one who never learned, or even heard about, any traditional musical canon that he was expected to work within. So what we have here with Hillbilly Ragas are nine pieces for solo acoustic guitar, each one representing a different excursion into the dark woods -- the untamed explorations of a musical loner, an outsider, maybe even an undesirable, embodying a peculiar folklore and turning it into sound -- creating his own folk music in the process. He's still out there, fueled by moonshine, his supernatural surroundings, and a fuck-all attitude!" --Richard Bishop, 2025

RELEASE DATE: 9/26/2025
Long overdue reissue of the first album by The Hanging Stars. Initial 300 copies come with 12"x12" print. London-based psych-folk outfit The Hanging Stars re-release their much-loved debut album Over the Silvery Lake on Crimson Crow. Blending folk pastoralism with swampy '60s Americana, they sound like the missing link between the California desert sun and the grey skies of London Town. The album was recorded between LA, Nashville and Walthamstow, with each of these vastly different places leaving an indelible mark on the songs. Now signed to the Loose Records label and fronted by London-based songwriter, singer and guitarist Richard Olson (The See See, Eighteenth Day of May), The Hanging Stars are essentially a loose collective of people who weave together a blissed-out psychedelic tapestry. The rest of the core band is made up of Sam Ferman on bass and Paulie Cobra on drums, Horse on pedal steel and Patrick Ralla on banjo, guitar. They jam rather than write and hang out rather than rehearse, harnessing a kind of tipsy euphoria resplendent with luscious arrangements and glorious vocal harmonies. There are a number of allusions to nature and the weather on the album, borne in part out of the contrasting surroundings in which it was produced. The band's fascination with Americana led them to record some of the material Stateside, laying down some of the parts at Battle Tapes Studios in Nashville, as well as at Vision Quest Studios in Los Angeles with Rob Campanella. Following the LA recordings, a trip to the Californian desert provided the core notion of what they wanted to produce -- a shard of light that they clung on to whilst recording the rest of the album in the significantly more rain-soaked atmosphere of Walthamstow, London, under the watchful eye of Brian O'Shaughnessy at Bark Studios. The Hanging Stars place themselves firmly as part of a long folk tradition encompassing European and North American influences -- as a continuation rather than a pastiche of these styles. This is the sound of a band really coming in to their own, fully formed and in no doubt of their vision. With Over the Silvery Lake they succeeded in producing a record, which has the country, blues and folk traditions at its heart.

This compilation brings together for the first time the best songs by Los Zheros, one of the most renowned cumbia bands to emerge in the early 1970s in Iquitos -- alongside groups like Los Rogers and Los Wemblers -- in the heart of Peru's Amazon capital. The unique Amazonian sound blended fast, percussive cumbia rhythms with electric guitars in a surf style -- a distinctive fusion that came to define Peruvian-recorded cumbia, markedly different from the traditional cumbia styles that developed in other cumbia-producing countries like Colombia. The album includes their psychedelic rock hit "Cuarto Oscuro," a highly sought-after track not only by cumbia collectors but also by garage and psychedelic DJs. This song also marked the beginning of their recording career in 1973. This compilation is a joint release with the Peruvian label Rey Record and comes with an insert featuring never- before-seen photos of the band, as well as liner notes by genre expert Víctor Zela (the mind behind the prestigious project La Cumbia de mis Viejos).

History of Silence is the first full body of work by Icelandic collective múm since 2013's Smilewound (MORR 124CD) and their seventh studio album to date -- recorded, deconstructed, put back together again, refined and finished over the course of two years. Vibrantly oscillating around a carefully curated palette of electronic and analogue sounds, the eight new tracks reflect the group's continuous strive to explore sonic spaces through subtle yet gripping songwriting. For a long time now, múm have been exploring the idea of distance in their music. Founded in Iceland in the late 1990s, the members soon began embarking on journeys across the world. Settling in, moving on, catching up: The concept of distance soon became an integral part of the collective's process. History of Silence leans into this idea, with space and time becoming indispensable pillars of the arrangements. While being coherent and structured, they echo their origins from different seasons, cities, and spaces -- neatly stitched together with unparalleled craftsmanship. On History of Silence time manifests in unexpected, liberating, and mesmerizing ways. It does not move reliably forward; it drifts, takes twists and turns, even disappears completely. Electronic textures blur into acoustic sounds, voices flicker and dissolve, melodies stumble and repeat. The arrangements often feel like they're wandering, gently resisting direction. Work on History of Silence began at Sudestudio in southern Italy. Additional recordings were made in Reykjavík, Berlin, Athens, Helsinki, New York, and Prague. The strings were recorded by Sinfonia Nord at the Hof concert hall, Akureyri, arranged and conducted by Ingi Garðar Erlendsson, who has worked with the band for many years. The orchestral elements don't dominate the record -- instead, they surface gently, adding depth and resonance to the songs without disturbing the songs' fragility. Contrary to what the album title suggests, History of Silence is a collection of bold and colorful songs, no matter how muted they might sound at times. They tickle like a feather drifting through the wind, ending up in unexpected places, stimulating long-forgotten thoughts and feelings, intimate moments of introspection. The songs move through the echoes those moments leave behind: the emotional traces of things unsaid, the weight of stillness. Offering closeness by means of distance and much-needed support. Bless.

Paloma Mensajera (featuring members of New Juggler Sound/Laghonia) shows the shift that was taking place within Peruvian rock away from psych and hard rock which had predominated during the early '70s. The style adopted by Grupo Amigos (and other bands and artists during this period) highlights the influence of soft rock, UK, US and Latin American folk rock and, above all, the desire to keep the melodic greatness of The Beatles alive. The positive reception albums by artists such as We All Together, Telegraph Avenue, and Zulu garnered between 1972 and 1975, marked a change of paradigm and in preferences within the Peruvian rock scene. Eclecticism gained new ground, to the detriment of the sectarian and orthodox, while melody grew more present and visible, moving away from the progressive experimentation that typified underground Peruvian rock up to the beginning of the '70s. For their first single on MAG, included on this reissue, the band adopted a formula in which Beatles harmonies converged symmetrically with folk motifs. "Dirty Girl" was a hit on the radio. A full album followed but only a fairly small number of copies of the album were pressed, which seems to have been the main reason for omitting it from the historical accounts of Peruvian rock music from the late '90s onwards. In Paloma Mensajera all compositions were penned by the group, after several years during which cover versions were a staple. Some of the musical resources that the band had at their disposal in terms of composition and arrangements are striking and even surprising, considering that they were a debut band, whose members were under the age of 20. The arrangements included the clever use of a Moog synthesizer which had just arrived at the MAG studio. The success achieved by the Beatles tribute performances played by the members of Grupo Amigos for decades have eclipsed the songs that Edmundo, Andrés Da Ros, and Simón Ames composed with youthful enthusiasm and energy between 1972 and 1973 to the point where they have almost been forgotten. This re-release of Paloma Mensajera should help rectify this major injustice. It includes bonus tracks and extensive liner notes.

Double LP version. Hailing from the suburbs of Glasgow, this five-piece are best known for their three starry-eyed albums on the renowned Sarah Records -- this being an expanded version of their first (an eight-track 10" at the time). By the tail end of the 1980s the independent music scene in the UK was turning its back on the polish and over-indulgence of the mid-'80s with its gated drums and wallpaper production. And those who weren't stretching the boundaries of sonic innovation had tuned back to the post-punk ethos of ramshackle charm and zealous melody, even dousing the spirit with some political fervor once more. Influences were more likely to be Television and the Television Personalities than MTV. The Orchids and The Sea Urchins were the first two bands to release 7" singles on the Sarah label having previously begun their recording existence on a shared flexi disc in 1987 (The Sea Urchins went on to become Delta, whose classic album Slippin' Out from 2000 will be the second release on Circuitry). The Scottish five-piece released I've Got a Habit and Underneath the Window, Underneath the Sink as EPs before really finding their feet with Lyceum; the tracks, remastered from the original Toad Hall tapes are included on this reissue as are the three songs from the "What Will We Do Next?" 7" (this collection closes with the frazzled stretch that is "Yawn"). Lyceum was originally released in August 1989. The album opens with "It's Only Obvious" and its gloriously youthful chorus of "who needs tomorrow when all I need, all I needed was you." James Hackett somehow appears both forthright and rejected, something that one of their musical heroes The Go-Betweens also had down to a fine art. It barely takes a breath until midway through side two where "Hold On" (sounding suspiciously like an unlikely objective) descends into the intro of "Blue Light," the counted-in "1, 2, 3, 4" whispered like the most hopelessly dejected rally. If that sounds depressing it isn't. This record by The Orchids was a spirited source of comfort for an 18-year-old at the time and still shudders with the best type of melancholy, one that's spirited not indulgent. If you're not familiar with the band's charm, this is where you should begin.

RELEASE DATE: 9/19/2025
1985 was a landmark year for punk rock in the Basque country, and possibly for the whole of Spain. Punk merged with the Basque Radical Rock (Rock Radikal Vasco or RRV) movement, although this was not necessarily always the case. For instance, Eskorbuto invariably kept their distance from the movement and everything related to it. Hardship was part and parcel of Eskorbuto's life and musical career. All their albums were recorded in the shortest time imaginable, partly due to tight budgets (studios were expensive, labels were close-fisted), and partly because Josu and Jualma needed to spend the money on other things. When it came to recording Anti Todo, Eskorbuto stuck to what they did best: hitting the studio with as much raw energy, provocation, inspiration, and natural talent as possible. It was their best record and the question is: what would Eskorbuto have been capable of if they had more time, a bigger budget, and tighter control? The song "Tamara" was practically composed on the spot in the studio in less than two recording days, as was much of "Ha llegado el momento." The experienced sound technician did an outstanding job, but a new remastering for this rerelease has given the album the richer, more vibrant sound it always deserved. Listeners can once again enjoy the urgency, simplicity, and rage of this refreshed Anti Todo, a true classic in musical history, originally released in 1985 at Eskorbuto's peak of their creativity and energy. This edition of the album includes a large poster and insert with notes.
