Triple LP version. The legacy of wipE′out″ has transcended time and cemented itself as a true transgenerational phenomenon. Launched in 1995, it didn't just revolutionize the gaming industry, it created a bridge between the gaming ecosystem and the raver community. Its futuristic aesthetics and forward-thinking sound left a mark not only on mainstream audiences but also on the most demanding corners of the underground. Decades later, the game's impact is still alive. The release in 2023 of The Zero Gravity Soundtrack on Lapsus Records proved once again that wipE′out″'s accompanying audio will go down in history as much more than just an anti-gravity racing game soundtrack. This is why Lapsus decided to go deeper into the slipstream and build the second volume you're now holding in your hands. Drawn from the original archives of Tim Wright, aka CoLD SToRAGE, this new collection surfaces unreleased cuts, pieces that couldn't fit on the first edition, and a suite of self-authored ambient reworks that translate pure velocity into wide-screen atmospherics engineered for the long straights, the drone of airbrakes, the blue hour between checkpoints. It also reconnects the circuit, gathering selections and variants tied to later chapters of the saga -- wipE′out″ HD and wipE′out″ Pure -- plus alternative mixes that, until now, only existed in the Sega Saturn dimension of the franchise. Finally, the material takes a leap into the future in the hands of four remixers especially chosen for this release: Tim Reaper, SHERELLE, Mantra, and NikNak, who collectively forge links between CoLD SToRAGE's pioneering musical vision, the sound world of the game, and the contemporary breakbeats and drum and bass vanguard. Expect the DNA you remember -- accelerated breaks, trance-vector synths, jungle influences, sub-bass rumbling neatly beneath the craft's hull, and at times even echoes of classic hardstyle -- now revealed with new angles and air. The previously unheard material carries the same aerodynamic design sense that made these tracks feel faster than the track map itself, while the ambient versions open the field of view with melodies hovering at the lip of overdrive. For the faithful -- crate-digging ravers, speed-run obsessives, and design nerds -- this is an essential expansion pack: compiling rarities, restoring context, and reframing the emotional core of wipE′out″ for late nights and early mornings alike. Bridging memory and momentum, club and console, rush and afterglow. Strap in.

Erik K Skodvin summons his alter ego Svarte Greiner for a dive into the dark, wintery Swedish forest with the score to the psychological thriller/horror film From Darkness (orig: Ur Mörkret). The film is director Philip W. Da Silva's debut and is set largely at night, deep in a Swedish nature reserve where mining used to take place. Loss, mental health and Nordic mythology come together in a story that revolves around the search for a missing woman. The score follows an eclectic and atmospheric path throughout the narrative with an uneasy underlaying vibe; although one with occasional points of refuge in the otherwise vast darkness. There is a gloomy, barely tangible sound of Nordic folk tradition buried in the music, even if it comes across in a different, more abstract way, where the various instruments are often used more as sound sources that are improvised (and abused) into becoming their own element. Skodvin performed and recorded the majority himself. In addition, he commissioned free improviser Axel Dörner to participate with his unique, custom-built electro-acoustic interface, which, along with Claudio Puntin's processed reeds and additional electronics, has been built into the elaborate backdrops to create an entire world that balances on the border between the approachable and the elusive - not unlike the journey of the protagonists. Skodvin's partner in Deaf Center, Otto A Totland, appears on piano in the stand out piece "What have you become?" The result is a harrowing yet deeply melancholic journey through the human psyche. One that echoes through the dark forests, cabins and lost mines of the desolate Swedish woodlands. The vinyl is released in an edition of 150 numbered copies, with screen-printed artwork on black cardboard inside a screen-printed PVC sleeve, incl. Riso-printed insert with liner notes by Mike Lazarev. 180g vinyl.

RELEASE DATE: 10/17/2025
A Milan-born multi-instrumentalist of Venetian heritage, Alberto Baldan Bembo was a gifted vibraphonist, organist, pianist, arranger, and composer whose work bridged jazz, pop, and film music. By the early 1960s, he was performing with Italy's leading ensembles, including I Menestrelli del Jazz and Bruno De Filippi's group, and soon became an in-demand session musician. For several years, he toured with the legendary Mina, providing the piano and organ backbone to her live shows -- a role that sharpened the cinematic sensibility and refined musicianship that would later define his soundtrack work. In the years to come, he would be celebrated for his scores to films such as L'Amica Di Mia Madre (1975) and Lingua Argento (1976), earning a place alongside Piero Umiliani, Alessandro Alessandroni, Berto Pisano, and other luminaries of Italy's golden age of soundtrack and library music. Io E Mara is the soundtrack to a film that was never made. Originally released on the CGD label in 1969, this debut album from the brilliant Maestro Baldan Bembo is a sophisticated concept-album tracing 24 hours in the life of two young lovers. Told entirely through music, the record unfolds as a continuous suite of ten tracks, where cinematic lounge, bossa, and jazz flavors mingle to create a dreamlike atmosphere. Baldan Bembo's signature piano and organ are masterfully complemented by Mara's ethereal vocals, while immersive soundscapes of crashing waves, seagulls, and rain showers enhance the feeling of a deeply personal and intimate journey. A cast of exceptional musicians brings this vision to life, including Bruno De Filippi on electric guitar and sitar, Carlo Milano on electric bass, Rolando Ceragioli on drums, and Pasquale Liguori on sound effects. This singular work not only showcases the burgeoning talent of a future soundtrack master but also features the original pop art front cover by Italian cult illustrator Guido Crepax.

Since his first composition credit in 2016 with The Last Panthers (Warp) Clark has built a reputation for expanding film and TV scores into intricate, exhilarating soundworlds of their own. Here Clark has expanded his score for Naqqash Khalid's award-winning debut feature In Camera stretching out the film's surreal "modern fairy tale" atmosphere with reversed vocals and gauzy synthpop-esque chords. Of the recording process Clark says: "Using my vocals but abstracted in a way that totally matched the film was the most unique challenge. I was going to just include the cues but got far too into recording new stuff that fitted the tone and emotion of the film. The record has a very distinct color/feel. It's drenched in muted joy/dark euphoria." This includes a gnarly cover of the Carpenters' "Superstar" that burns closer to the frazzled Sonic Youth version.

RELEASE DATE: 10/3/2025
Released on standalone CD for the first time in 33 years, this now-complete edition of the ground-breaking cult soundtrack is finally here. A cult classic of sci-fi dystopia, Decoder (1984) saw Einstürzende Neubauten's members working alongside Genesis P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle/Psychic TV) and William S. Burroughs. It's one of the strangest (and most prescient) films of the decade. The film was made in Hamburg and Berlin, and directed by Klaus Maeck 'Muscha' (who directed several punk films). The lead roles are played by Christiane F and FM Einheit from Neubauten, who also contributed to the film's score. Genesis P-Orridge, the kingpin of the English industrial scene, also appears as a priest of the Black Noise faith. Author William S. Burroughs portrays an insurrectionist salesman of audio equipment (and contributes spoken word to the soundtrack), and American cult actor Bill Rice plays a detective. Soft Cell contributed their classic "Seedy Films," while Matt Johnson from The The wrote a frenetic, deformed song for the film that is both fantastic and painful to listen to, and Einstürzende Neubauten's "Compressed Metal" is sublime. Dave Ball (Soft Cell), Jon Caffery, and Genesis P-Orridge composed the rest of the soundtrack. A futuristic film, and a joyous application of William S. Burroughs' "The Electronic Revolution," which proposes a seditious and rather poetic method of subverting the masses and inciting them to rise up against the forces of order. CD in matt-laminate digipak with ten-page foldout booklet.

The cinematic documentary Iron Winter, directed by Kasimir Burgess, follows two young herdsmen from the Tsakhir Valley in their quest to keep their community's herd of 2000 horses alive through Mongolia's harshest winter. The temperature regularly falls below -40℃ as they drive their herd into the mountains in search of pastures under the snow. As deteriorating climatic conditions make winter herding even more gravely dangerous, and the city lures away the young people, this ancient traditional rite of passage has nearly entirely disappeared. Through Iron Winter's score the Mongolian landscape shimmers and shivers with harmonics. Endless snowscapes glisten and swish, but stress and upheaval are also evident in the score's ominous murmurs. The tremors of imminent environmental and cultural collapse can be felt in the distant creak and clatter of the unseen, while tradition groans under the weight of obligation resting upon fewer and fewer shoulders. But to the sound of a mysterious reveille the herders and their horses are pulled irresistibly deeper into the mountains, exacerbating their vulnerability to dire cold and starvation, to the accompaniment of the howling wolves of the steppe. De la Catessen Records presents the original soundtrack for Iron Winter by Port Adelaide based composer Luke Altmann in a hand-numbered vinyl edition of 250 copies.

"Deep Red / Profondo Rossso Soundtrack 50th Anniversary Edition. The incredible existential and atmospheric experience of Dario Argento's films comes from the merging of gorgeously crafted visuals with a soul tingling auditory experience. Once heard, Goblin's scores are never quite forgotten. Profondo Rosso is no exception, characterized by its synth heavy sound and chilling central theme. Along with Suspiria, Profondo Rosso is perhaps Argento's most celebrated film and a classic of the giallo horror subgenre in its own right. A surreal masterpiece from Dario Argento with a pounding score from cult prog rockers Goblin, Profondo Rosso (Deep Red) will leave you battered and breathless! BALMAT 017LP

Balmat 17 marks both a return and a new frontier. It is the second album on the label from Patricia Wolf, whose 2022 album See-Through (BALMAT 003LP) is one of the most beloved in Balmat's catalog; it also marks the first time that Wolf has turned her hand to a film soundtrack. The results are every bit as magical as fans of the Portland, Oregon, composer's music might expect. Hrafnamynd -- Icelandic for "raven film" -- is a new feature-length documentary by experimental filmmaker Edward Pack Davee. Shot on a mix of film and digital formats, and incorporating his father's Ektachrome slides from the 1970s, the autobiographical film works on multiple levels at once: a reminiscence of his childhood in Iceland, an exploration of landscape and folklore, and a documentary study of the island nation's ravens -- including a talking raven named Krummi. Wolf is the perfect artist to score such an unusual film. Mixing ambient music and field recording -- including extensive experience documenting bird song -- Wolf brings an unusually empathic perspective to her music. In the context of Hrafnamynd, her airy melodies, pensive atmospheres, and vivid textures intuitively complement the film's grainy film stock and blown-out colors. Friends for years, the two artists further bonded when Wolf asked Pack to film music videos for her songs "Woodland Encounter" (from See-Through) and "The Culmination Of" (from I'll Look For You In Others). Pack used Wolf's previously recorded music as placeholders as he began assembling a rough cut of the film, which made her a natural choice to help him complete his idiosyncratic vision with an all-new, bespoke score. But Wolf's soundtrack also indisputably stands alone as a full-length album. Largely created using the UDO Super 6 synthesizer, it features a carefully distilled palette of warm, string-like pads and darkly glistening mallets, rounded out with the very occasional introduction of nylon string guitar. Musically and stylistically, the album's 11 tracks represent both a continuation of the ruminative sound of See-Through and also an extension into new expressive modes. Few musicians, ambient or otherwise, are as skilled at balancing melody with atmosphere, or at finding ways to eke fresh at finding ways to eke fresh, surprising sounds out of an intentionally reduced toolkit. Meditative, immersive, and emotionally generous Wolf's Hrafnamynd soundtrack evokes a range of ambient classics from decades past while confidently marking out its own verdant patch of ground.

The official soundtrack to Jean-Cosme Delaloye's documentary about the life and career of Detroit techno pioneer Carl Craig, Desire: The Carl Craig Story is presented on 2x12" vinyl as well as CD. The collection, coming via his prolific and seminal Planet E Communications, features music from across Craig's vast catalog, including several tracks that have never previously seen full release. Its selections span his many aliases and projects, offering a rare glimpse into the full scope of his groundbreaking career. Among the rare and remastered tracks featured is "No More Words" -- originally released in 1991, newly reissued on vinyl and available digitally for the first time. A foundational track in the Detroit techno canon, "No More Words" captures the emotive synths and tight grooves of Craig's sound that would soon resonate across dance floors worldwide. Its reissue marks a moment of reflection on the genre's roots and evolution. Another remastered track from Craig's extensive archive is "The Truth," a deep cut from Craig's discography under his Designer Music alias, now widely available for the first time a quarter-century after its original release. The film's end credits are scored by the contemplative Meditation 4, an ambient production previously only available on Craig's 2013 Masterpiece compilation CD for Ministry of Sound. Iconic remixes such as his Grammy-nominated rework of Junior Boys' "Like A Child" is included alongside lesser-known but equally epic remixes such as his sublime 2012 mix of Slam's "Azure," which is employed for the film's title credits and had previously only seen a limited release. Also featured across the soundtrack's multiple formats are iconic Carl Craig productions under his 69, Psyche/BFC and Innerzone Orchestra aliases, and collaborations with Moritz von Oswald and Francesco Tristano. The soundtrack serves as a companion to the new documentary directed by Jean-Cosme Delaloye and produced by Sovereign Films, which follows Carl's journey from Detroit's middle-class roots to global stardom, set against the city's decline and recovery. The film explores his work at the intersection of music, art, and culture, from his collaborations with Bottega Veneta to his Party/After-Party installation, acquired by the Detroit Institute of Arts and exhibited at MOCA Los Angeles. Featuring interviews with Gilles Peterson, Roni Size, Laurent Garnier, DJ Minx, Kenny Larkin, Moritz von Oswald, and James Lavelle, Desire highlights Carl's championing of Detroit's Black creative excellence and the often-overlooked African-American roots of electronic music.

Beat Records re-releases on CD the OSTs by Ennio Morricone for the romantic comedy films Idoli controluce and E la donna creo' l'uomo (aka Volles Herz und leere Taschen). In this score, Morricone alternates pleasant, lounge-flavored tunes ("Sophisticated boy," "Relax in solitudine," "Rendez-vous") with romantic themes ("Le meno importanti," "Le cose più important"). This CD reissue, lasting 51:04, includes for the first time the Baroque-flavored piece "Villa Madama," which was featured as the background music at a house party and had only previously been released on an Italian promo library vinyl and Japanese CD compilation. For this Italian-German co-production, Ennio Morricone composed a pleasant lounge-type score that didn't see the light of day on the soundtrack market at the time. It wasn't until 2005 that GDM Music issued the music from this film on CD (GDM 2058), along with selections from Idoli controluce, with the approval of Maestro Morricone. A dance tune is introduced in the opening credits (repeated in the finale with Alessandroni's whistle), alternating with exotic rhythms ("Exoticoerotico") and a romantic orchestral theme ("Dawn in the park"). The leitmotif is arranged in bossa nova ("Donnabossa"), classical ("E la donna creò l'uomo"), fast version ("Inseguendo lei"), for classical guitar and orchestra ("Dolcemente donna"), with sax ("Sexydonna"), suspended and sweetly magical ("Aspettando lei"), and a brilliant and even faster version ("Correndo verso lei"). Mastering and liner notes by Claudio Fuiano, graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini.

Beat Records reissues on CD the OST by Luciano Michelini for the dramatic film Anna, quel particolare piacere (aka Anna: The Pleasure, the Torment and Secrets of a Call Girl), directed in 1973 by Giuliano Carmineo with screenplay by Sauro Scavolini, Francesco Miliazia, and Ernesto Gastaldi, photography by Marcello Masciocchi, editing by Eugenio Alabiso, music by Luciano Michelini, production by Dania CC Champion, distribution by Interfilm, and starring Edwige Fenech, Corrado Pani, Richard Conte, Antonio Casale, Bruno Corazzari, Corrado Gaipa, Ettore Manni, Umberto Raho, John Richardson, and Laura Bonaparte. In February 1974, RCA released a promotional 33 rpm record (Original Cast SP 8049) with 14 tracks in stereo selected by Maestro Michelini himself. Luciano Michelini is no stranger to the noir and detective genre, having set to music classics such as La polizia accusa: il servizio segreto uccide, La città gioca d'azzardo, and Morte sospetta di una minorenne. In fact, this fabulous soundtrack contains stylistic variations that alternate between American Blaxploitation soundtracks and crime film scores. The criminal reality in which Anna finds herself trapped is illustrated by rhythmic themes where the wind instruments are the real protagonists and by orchestral themes of suspense. The sentimental side of the story is underlined by a recurring love theme for piano and orchestra where the crystal voice of the divine Edda Dell'Orso intervenes. Relaxing, Latin-flavored songs add a little pop flavor to this excellent soundtrack. Mastering and liner notes by Claudio Fuiano, graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini.

Beat Records presents for the first time on CD the OST by Riz Ortolani for the dramatic comedy Porca Vacca, directed in 1982 by Pasquale Festa Campanile. At the time of the film's release, nothing came of this beautiful soundtrack by Riz Ortolani. Thanks to the stereo master tapes of the original sessions, it was possible to release the complete score for the first time. Riz Ortolani composed and conducted an OST introduced by a rhythmic comic theme which is reprised in a slow version with accordion. After a cheerful introduction, the orchestra describes the historical period of World War I, and the military-flavored theme for trumpet and strings and is reprised by the harmonica. The harmonica, guitar, piano and rhythm section perform a folk-flavored motif perfect for the sad atmosphere of those distant days then reprised for harmonica alone. Dissonant passages for strings create a tense and macabre atmosphere, (and the harsh conditions of the war are underlined by dramatic passages with a little space dedicated for a love theme). As a special surprise for fans of the legendary Renato Pozzetto, Beat also includes the popular songs of the period in which the story is set, performed by Pozzetto and choir as they are heard in the film, all arranged and conducted by M°Ortolani. With a duration of 54:59, this CD can finally be added to your collection of works by the great composer.

It builds a unique communicative style to which generations of Italian people are fond. Beat Records Company presents the expanded version of the original motion picture soundtrack of the movies L'Anticristo (Alberto De Martino 1973), featuring the music by Ennio Morricone and Bruno Nicolai, and Sepolta Viva (Aldo Lado, 1974) by Ennio Morricone. This album, very popular among the two composers' fans, offers two OSTs realized for excellent movies. The first, on the Excorcist (William Friedkin, 1973) trail, revisits the theme of demonic possession through the Italian cultural filter while the second, based on the homonymous novel by Marie Eugénie Saffray, is a nice historical drama, much in fashion in the early '70s. The CD is now available again in the classic CR series as a jewel case release featuring a 12-page booklet filled with Fabio Babini's liner notes and Daniele De Gemini's artwork, with mastering by Enrico De Gemini. On the cover is the original artwork, realized by Sandro Symeoni, commissioned by Franco De Gemini.

Beat Records is relaunching on the market the classic Western OST by Nora Orlandi and Robby Poitevin for the film La morte non conta i dollari (aka Death at Owell Rock), directed in 1967 by Riccardo Freda (under the pseudonym George Lincoln), with a screenplay by Giuseppe Masini and Freda. At the time of the film's release, not a single note from the score was released, and it wasn't until 2007 that GDM Music issued the complete original soundtrack on CD for the very first time. The title has been absent from the market for many years, so this reissue with improved sound will make all Spaghetti Western fans around the world happy. Nora Orlandi and Robby Poitevin composed an orchestral score introduced by the "Titoli di testa," a rhythmic adventurous theme with a nostalgic flavor for trumpet, orchestra and choir. The central musical motif is a recurring love theme with choir accompaniment, with the addition of the harmonica as well as a version sung by Raoul. The entire dramatic side of the story is underlined by music of suspense and mystery. Classical pieces with a religious flavor are performed on organ and guitar, plus there is some Latin American folk music and a square dance. Nora Orlandi performs an evocative ancient ballad that is reprised with wordless vocals. This CD comes from the mono masters of the original sessions, plus six rare stereo bonus tracks that were found on another master, perhaps conceived for a record that never saw the light of day in 1967.

Musique Pour La Danse presents the definitive edition of the highly acclaimed and globally beloved Donkey Kong Country soundtracks, meticulously recreated by composer and producer Jammin' Sam Miller. Released in 1994 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Donkey Kong Country was celebrated not only for its groundbreaking quasi-3D graphics but also for its exceptional soundtrack. The soundtrack featured a variety of compositions, and has been highly praised for its diverse and high-quality music, with tracks like "Aquatic Ambiance" and "Fear Factory" standing out as fan favorites. The influence of the Donkey Kong Country soundtrack extends beyond the gaming world, having inspired modern artists and changed the way video game music was perceived. This limited-edition boxset, limited to 500 copies, comes as a triple double-LP set, containing Volumes 1, 2, and 3. Pressed on red, green, and blue marbled vinyl, it is housed in a hardboard slipcase featuring new and original artwork by Andrew Beltran. Don't sleep on this ultimate release-the previous boxset edition has been sold out for a long time, and if you can find it, it's being sold for crazy money. Using hex SPC data converted to MIDI, Jammin' Sam Miller painstakingly recreated the DKC soundtrack note by note, sourcing the original equipment used to create it. He then translated the MIDI into a modern studio context, incorporating keyboard samples, remixing the sounds with added effects, and mastering the tracks.

"Call Me By Your Name, the film by Luca Guadagnino, is a sensual and transcendent tale of first love, based on the acclaimed novel by Andre Aciman. Summer of 1983, Northern Italy. An American-Italian is enamored by an American student who comes to study and live with his family. Together they share an unforgettable summer full of music, food, and romance that will forever change them. The film received critical acclaim. Critics praised in particular Chalamet, Hammer and Stuhlbarg's performances, Guadagnino's direction and the screenplay. Call Me By Your Name won a variety of Awards, including Academy, Bafta, GLAAD and many more. Sufjan Stevens's song 'Mystery of Love' was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 90th Academy Awards. Luca Guadagnino wanted the film's music to be connected to Elio, a young pianist who likes to transcribe and adapt pieces in order to get close to Oliver. The music is used to reflect the time, the characters' family, level of education and 'the kind of canon they would be a part of.' Guadagnino found himself resonating with Sufjan Stevens' lyricism through his work and initially asked Stevens to record an original song. Eventually, Stevens contributed three songs to the soundtrack: 'Visions of Gideon,' which was used at the end of the film, 'Mystery of Love,' which was featured in the film's first trailer and a new rendition of 'Futile Devices' with piano. Stevens penned the songs by using the script, the book, and the conversations with the director about the characters. It marks Sufjan Stevens' first soundtrack for a feature film. The vinyl package of Call Me By Your Name includes a poster, an insert and the 180-gram records are housed in two exclusive printed inner sleeves."

"30th Anniversary edition of this soundtrack from Michele Soavi's Italian cult horror film, Dellamorte Dellamore (Cemetery Man). Music composed by Manuel De Sica. De Sica nails the tone of the film, allowing the music to somehow walk the line of sinister and mundane without coming off as forced. Gothic atmospheres with electronic grooves and jazz tapestries. Limited red vinyl plus poster."

Coinciding the cinema release of Der Wald in mir, the soundtrack by Gregor Schwellenbach is released in an exclusive edition in high-quality screen-printed covers by director and artist Sebastian Fritzsch. Microtonal strings in dialogue with electronic sounds, noise music, drones and ambient, complemented by improvisations by experimental string wizards Emily Wittbrodt and Matthias Kaiser. These different worlds of sound are linked by melodic motifs that come together in the final end credits song. This closing track was created in collaboration with indie artist Jungstötter, "a singer, whose intense aura I associate with the sensitivity and emotional depth of the main character Jan, just as I hear the strength and unflinching devotion of the character Alice in co-singer Isabelle Pabst" --Gregor Schwellenbach.
