Mihai Popoviciu, one of the most esteemed names in the deep house and minimal scene, releases Puzzle Box on Bondage Music. As one of the label's core artists, Popoviciu returns for his second full-length album release on the imprint following his successful 2016 album, Home (BOND 12038LP, 2022). With a career spanning over a decade and with releases on numerous influential labels such as 8Bit to Berg Audio, Popoviciu has firmly established himself as a go-to within the minimal-leaning realms of house music. Known for intricate soundscapes and deep, hypnotic grooves, his work continues to captivate audiences globally. On Puzzle Box, he delves deeper into his signature stripped-back yet soulful aesthetic, offering a diverse collection of tracks that traverse through various sonic textures. Mihai Popoviciu: "With Puzzle Box, each track unlocks something deeper with every listen". Consisting of thirteen tracks in total, Puzzle Box showcases the Romanian's sound to its fullest. On the vinyl edition, fans are treated to standout tracks like "Batiscaf", "Storm Rider", and "Far Gone" -- vinyl-only gems that capture Popoviciu's talent for layering subtle, dubby tones with groovy rhythms. The opening track, "They All Say", sets the mood with smooth, atmospheric beats with a skippy groove, followed by the dynamic "Video" and the driving, pulsating energy of "Frankfurt." Popoviciu's skill in crafting versatile productions is showcased throughout the album, with each track offering something unique. From the sleek, melodic strains of "Puzzle Box" to the hypnotic, rolling basslines of "Kinetic", this triple-LP is a journey into his meticulously constructed sound. The digital version also features the bonus track "Body Count 2", offering a final, rhythmic flourish to round off the release. Puzzle Box further cements Mihai Popoviciu's role as a mainstay on Bondage Music, a label which continues to champion forward-thinking, minimal-leaning house music. With this latest LP, Popoviciu once again proves why he remains a favorite, building on his storied career with another masterclass in refined, deep electronic music.

Next up for Pornbugs is a collaboration project with Frink -- "See Through My Eyes". Remix support comes from Miroloja and Roger Gerressen. DJ and production duo Pornbugs have been blazing a trail since 2005 and set up the label Bondage Music not long after to showcase their sound and the talented House artists around them. Frink is the epitome of underground. A talented artist with a steadfast fanbase that releases banger after banger with integrity and soul. "See Through My Eyes" is a solid slice of contemporary house music. Deeply hypnotic and wildly addictive, its vibey bass, scattergun percussions and icy, cinematic pads feel like a warm audio blanket on a cold winter's night. On the remix, Miroloja strips away at the layers for a deeper groove. 'Sigma' sees the triplet explore the tribal side of House. Rubber bass wraps around the opening tribal framework and develops into a classy deep houser with bags of soul. Roger Gerresen takes the baton and runs on the remix. Dubbing out the stabs for an icy, hypnotic journey. Perfect for the early morning hours after a long club night.

With its roots in Leipzig, Bondage Music has developed a cogent back catalogue which draws on the principles of Romanian minimalism whilst evincing a certain verve prevalent across dancefloors in Berlin and further afield. Previous releases from Mihai Popoviciu, Pornbugs, and NTFO, have woven a clear thread within the catalog -- a thread defined by the adroit use of distilled elements. Adding to this thread with the next release on Bondage Music is the masterful producer Sascha Dive. Based in Frankfurt and with releases stretching back to 2005, Sascha Dive has earned his status as a venerated contributor to the scene and has developed a musical identity characterized by a combination of deep, moody synthesis and precise, punchy drums. His Beautiful People EP develops these tropes and -- as the name would suggest -- suffuses them with a lick of dub. Sunken pads, deftly woven melodies, and dense subs are rendered to a lucid finish across a versatile and effective set of tools which slot neatly into the Bondage Music catalog. "Beautiful People" features Robert Owens. 180 gram vinyl.

Markus Homm unveils his twelve-track debut LP After Dark on German imprint Bondage Music. An artist with a rich history within deeper house spheres and minimal territories, Markus Homm has been a fixture of the scene for over twenty years with a long list of appearances at renowned institutions, including Panorama Bar, Watergate, Kater Blau, and Tresor. Whether releasing stand-out solo material or collaborating with fellow countryman Mihai Popoviciu, Homm's continual evolution and development have seen him become a staple name within sets of the industry's leading talent. A regular on the imprint with a string of releases dating back to his label debut in 2012 as remixer for Miguel Lobo -- Atemporal, the Romanian-born, Nuernberg-based talent returns to Bondage-Music as he presents his first album on the label. Markus Homm: "The album came together over the period of the last few years. I wanted to find the sweet spot of timeless music you can listen to at home or in a club. A few tracks have been completed also during the worldwide lockdown two years ago, such as the track After Dark. Most of us had the feeling of being in a dark place in life, for myself I always knew things would get better and I was looking forward to the moment, that motivated and inspired me to make my first artist album. After these difficult times, After Dark, just look forward again, and feel new joy." After Dark, a rich collection of eight productions on the vinyl, the album is a carefully crafted project. Starting with "The System", Homm delicately introduces the deep and dubby textures he's so well known for and sets the tone for what is to come. "Generator" builds upon this foundation with a selection of deep, aquatic tones, while "Trespasses" and "Grauzone" subtly pick up the pace and energy, guiding listeners down equally hazy and captivating trips. "Blue Mountain" harnesses skipping drums alongside resonant chords, while title track "After Dark" is an exemplary display of the Romanian's ability to fuse delicate layers of misty pads, intricate percussion and resonant stabs. "I Wish" is a spirited and breezy journey through rich soundscapes guided by floaty vocals, while "Who Are You" concludes the physical package with a twisting production crafted for the after-hours. A display of deep textures, After Dark marks showcases Homm's signature sonics while offering new shades to his sound. Four vinyl-only tracks; 180 gram vinyl.

After his phenomenal debut in 2020, Slovenian House wizard Alex Ranerro returns to the ever-delivering Bondage Music label with a new relishable five-piece EP, including remix from Lola Palmer. Title track "Fragments" welcomes you with dabbling and shimmering percussions, accompanied by a cozy warm sub bass and a crispy drum framework. While the buttery tops and flashy FX effects subtly work their way through our hearing, we already sense the first vibrations of the peerless stellar synths unfolding continuously throughout the track. Next up, Lola Palmer pleases with her very own version of the original. She adds a muffled kick and a drone bassline, turning the track into a matter of deep groove. Smooth piano chords nestle perfectly into this housy roller which is relying on a tasteful selection of lucent hats and twinkling shakers. Following up is a true Alex Ranerro classic, going by the name of "Jungfraujoch". The Slovenian certainly aims for the good vibes with this harmonious piece of joy. Rattling percussions say "hello" to the rolling bass and dubby melodies, promising a dazzling act of pleasure on the dancefloors of this world. Breakbeat connoisseurs are going to love the next delicacy on the menu: "Radiation" turns out to be a true cosmic affair, embracing us with clanking snares and a hypnotic pad straight from the orbit. Divine and perfectly placed synthesizer chords do the rest and let you ultimately float towards the ether Alex Ranerro has created for his audience.

Mihai Popoviciu: "The album's called Home because it is inspired by my experiences from my home city Sibiu in Romania. Home is also the place where the album was produced, in my stripped-down studio. It is where I always return to rest and chill after touring the world and the place where I feel most safe and comfortable. The artwork shows an image of the airport lane in Sibiu with surrounding hills and mountains in the back. It is a metaphoric 'gate' to both leave and return home." Across the project, Mihai delivers his signature dancefloor focused, stripped-back style with "ACK", showcasing the hypnotic and percussive style Popoviciu executes so well. The project also drifts into smooth dubby realms via compositions like "Cannon Poets" and "Sunshine" while the likes of "Music 999" radiantly display Mihai's proficient production abilities as he wanders into a brighter more house centric sound. All in all, Mihai Popoviciu turns in a coherent long player whilst exploring a broad range of styles, "Focus" and "Havana" lay down a groove-led feel with subtle modulations and an unfaltering structure, while "Data On Data" and "Hypnosia" tip the focus over to dark and brooding territories with murky synth pads and chugg-y low-end tones. Once again, Popoviciu has proven himself to be one of Romania's finest electronic music exports.

Sascha Dive delivers his latest album Back 2 Life, marking Bondage Music's 15th anniversary. Frankfurt-based talent Sascha Dive has a long and esteemed history within house music, releasing material via 8Bit, Raum-Musik and Kwench alongside his own Deep Vibes Recordings, while featuring in Cocoon Recordings, long-standing In The Mix series and gaining support from label boss Sven Väth alongside the likes of Guy Gerber, Maya Jane Coles and Laurent Garnier. He now returns to Bondage Music to mark the imprints' 15th anniversary with fifteen essential house cuts across his Back 2 Life LP -- delivering the label's second ever album in the process. Dive opens up with the luxurious "Whispering Voices" and "This Is My Journey", two tracks fueled by twinged vocals, glimmering motifs, and dubby chords. The temperature rises on "My Life", before the acidic ripples and spoken words of Messy MC on "In The Darkness" unveils a subliminal slice of electronica. "Time Waits For No Man" sees a standout collaboration alongside the iconic Robert Owens, while resonant kicks and evolving melodies can be found on 'A Silver Lining on The Horizon'. The second half unveils further entrancing productions such as "Interview With An Alien", as progressing effects wrap around minimalist-style programming, while "Moonwalker" and "Let's Get It On" lean towards deep house territories, alongside the up-beat and sun-drenched reverberations of "Dreaming Es Verda" and "Tell Me When". A vibrant, dynamic and imbued collection of tracks, "Back 2 Life" delivers a far-reaching album showcasing an essential milestone for both Dive and Bondage Music while celebrating a long-standing partnership in style. "Tell Me When" features Voe. Includes four vinyl-only tracks. 180 gram vinyl; printed gatefold sleeve.
"These tracks mirror what I have experienced in the last 15 years. Each one has its own story -- of pain, emotion, learning, curiosity -- the need to find and create new sounds, new beats and this is what continues to drive me to look further, further and further..." --Sascha Dive.
"2006-2021: 15 years of Bondage Music is about harnessing those great moments and spiritual experiences from the Dancefloor. The vision of Bondage Music is to bring authentic, quality and honest dance music to those in the know. Sascha Dive was last spotted on Bondage Music earlier in 2019 with the deep hypnotic pulses of "Dark Night" on Bondage Games Part 5 (BOND 12048EP). So, it's fitting he returns with Detroit Sunrise and, as sure as day follows night, it's every bit as deep, pulsing and hypnotic as you'd expect from the Frankfurt craftsman. His first full EP for the Leipzig label. "Detroit Sunrise" warms up with broad, swinging drums, rippling textures, and a crucial spoken-word sample every person should consider. It sets the scene for two classic Dive deep adventures as both "Dub Chronicles #1" and "Dub Chronicles #2" both roll out with subtlety and understatement. Layered, absorbing, and endless; timeless tools made for those deep mix moments of magic. Last but not least, the EP ends on an upbeat. "Ghostdancer" takes more of a sprightly, light-footed note with an upward-spiraling arpeggiated riff, gentle ebb-and-flow chords, and a light peppering of cosmic flurries. Ghoulishly good. Like all things by Dive and Bondage Music. Don't get tied down, get tied up...
