Feines Tier presents Regression Session, hosted by eternal Philadelphia scene flag bearers Zillas On Acid. Just listen to the opener and title track and you won't exactly have a strong case for the Zillas selling out, but rough as it is, this thing is capable of destroying any dancefloor it touches. Looking at their recent releases it's fair to say the Z's are on quite a run, putting out music on labels like Permanent Vacation, Throne Of Blood, Multi Culti or Ivan Smagghe's Disques de la Mort. Tunes like the sneaky rough slow burners "Underling" or "Start Digging" sound like they could be lifted from the latter's infamous DJ sets, while the deceptively titled "Cha Cha Cha" or closer "Casual Observer" justify the "Acid" in the artists' name. "Shining Snakes Across The Lake" is what some years might have been called a mid-tempo house roller and probably counts as downtempo these days. Speaking of tempos, the penultimate "Sweet Days Of Discipline" starts of masquerading as really downtempo, but ends up throwing 155bpm kick drums at you, so better watch out, all you k-hole ravers! Then comes "bquiet," which is what you'd call mid-tempo house these days (125bpm) and uses the eternally banging combination of a jacking beat, a polyrhythmic bass line, some lead-synth stabs and talking vocal slices. What you see is what you get: They are Zillas, and they are on Acid. And they provide a collection of eight tunes that probably each don't necessarily have a double-digit amount of tracks in their DAW projects, and that's exactly what makes them so forceful. Join the regression session!

Feines Tier is entering its 60s together with Lithuanian lad Liudas Lazauskas aka Roe Deers and his Landscape EP. "I'm very sorry (Acid)" delivers everything the title promises, experience report included. After that comes "Helicopter" and "Glory," followed by "Shoes." The penultimate "Silent Stories" picks up the pace again a little bit, but gets even more grubby, hypnotic and seductive vocals included, before another face-melter with the closer "Sash," which goes hard on the electric bass in your face, pitched-down vocals and some cowbells for good measure.

Tel Aviv super group Megaphonim are bringing their off-kilter energy to Feines Tier in form of their new Namal Ashdod EP with four original tracks and hell of a Simple Symmetry remix. Even though they're all quite unique on their own, what unites the tracks is the combination of raw beats and vocals with an oddly catchy pop approach to the writing of the music. Be it in the aptly titled "After of Disaster" with its let-loose energy, the slow-rolling "Lo Titfos Oti", which could have been picked from an Andrew Weatherall (RIP) DJ-set, or the title track with its break-beats and its unforeseeable left-turns, there's always this playful and off-the-wall energy keeping the ball going and bouncing. And let's not forget about the remix! Endlessly rising duo Simple Symmetry do what they have become known for very well here: Deliver an insanely groovy and relentless weapon of a track, guaranteed to blow the roof of every club, festival floor or after, however disastrous it might be.

With Broken Land, Daniel Nitsch presents the first album of his latest project Hounah -- and thus grants a deep look into his feelings and thoughts. Pieces like "Sorrow", "Fairbanks", or "Norton Bay", which invite you trace inside, are accompanied by those that present Daniel's personal views on very political and generally relevant issues, presented in songs like "Revolution", "Guilty State", or "Cash For Your Home". They cover topics like racism and gentrification, deal with the burden that imperialism places on us. Ask for what a future could look like -- and how it could successfully happen at all. Thus, Hounah is not a feel-good project, Broken Land, the title suggests it, a profound, here and there even painful inventory, which wants to stimulate reflection and further thinking. Very diverse, thematically as well as musically -- and created with great attention to detail. Listening closely allows light bulb effects in terms of content, but also in terms of sound, lets you walk in the footsteps of downbeat, hip-hop, trip-hop, ambient, electronica, and jazz. Hounah quickly reveals here that they are not afraid of breaks, but are also capable of soulful fusions in sound collages. The circle of friends behind Hounah, consisting of producer Daniel Nitsch, pianist Johann Blanchard, singer Lena Schmidt, and guitarist Marten Pankow, came together for the album Broken Land in order to immediately try out further alliances: two of the songs on the album were created in creative cooperation with A-F-R-O, the internationally known rapper from Los Angeles. And so it is little surprise that each song creates a new world of sounds and thoughts -- and one suspects already after the first tracks that there is more waiting for you, that"Broken Land will not remain Hounah's last work.

Amount likes to eat cheese balls. He also likes trashy humor, trippy music, psychedelica, and meditation. He thinks Instagram is stupid but TikTok is good. As part of Soukie & Windish duo, URSL label, and Wuza crew, he's quite famous in Berlin's party cosmos, so Amount knows how to turn certain knobs. Besides, he really loves to wear his jogging pants and hopes everything will be fine in the future. Remix by Acid Pauli.

You learned that there are genres. Everything separated into categories with their own canon and rules: Major, minor, 4/4, 6/8, highs, lows, high head, butt end. Techno here, disco there. You learned that art and music are two different things. Visually auditory, audio-visual, optically acoustic, not to mention the surface feel. Listen to me, look at me, touch me. But everything in that order please! You have learned that understanding takes you further. Night/life, rhythm/dancing, substance/excess, water/holding out, sleep/rest, headache/not good. But what would it be if all of that wasn't just right? If all of our knowledge is based on the mistake of having to put everything in relation? To classify it, to make it responsive. What do we do with something that doesn't follow the rules of this logic? That is not based on 0 and 1 and therefore not bound to our binary systems? Is this all at once? After all, what if the whole thing has no limits? Jens-Uwe Beyer recently released the Yellow Book with Albert Oehlen on Gagosian and on his own label Magazine (2019). He also runs PNN and Schalen. His fourth album Horizons as Popnoname is the very first long player to be released on Cologne-based label Feines Tier.

Theus Mago -- the man, the myth, the legend from Mexico City. Leaving behind his characteristic synth wave/dark disco sound, the Duro label cofounder delivers a new experience where modular synths and Amazonian rhythms blend seamlessly with a type of laidback psychedelic techno music. All of this thanks to a huge amount of spices added to glue everything together just nice and deliciously. The Carrier People EP features three heating original tracks and a remix interpretation by unmistakable Curses.

Four-track EP No Bad Decisions is Pletnev's debut on Cologne-based imprint Feines Tier. And here he matches perfectly with label requirements -- hidden melodies, dozens of layers and sounds. Truly simple and addictive music for parties with soul, big or small. For the recent few years, Pletnev did a solid statement as a producer with releases for Lithuanian Le Temps Perdu imprint or French labels KUMP and Hard Fist where he always explored a variety of genres melting tribal, EBM and techno into one solid peace of gold. Originally Russian, Pletnev now settled in Vilnius where he represents incredibly booming local scene being a resident of Opium club. Title tune "No Bad Decisions" is a noisy electronic boogie with drunk arpeggios and filtered bassline. Comemé based Ana Helder delivers more dancefloor-oriented version of the track. "Almost Equal" continues the general line of the EP with jumpy boogie beat and tribal percussions. "Norton Commander" makes a perfect balance and adds mystic darkness through running sub bassline and sliding atonal bells. And simple 808 beat makes out of tune a perfect trance-y option for the late party hours.

Having discovered electronic music at the end of the '90s, Thomass Jackson grew up going to raves where trance was one of the main styles played. The influence it had on him was planted deeply into his DNA. Thomass now takes the old-fashioned elements he still likes into new directions. Fueled by gated chords, dreamy arpeggios, trippy vocals, and percussion, these tracks are destined to take you back into the past and bring you right back to the present. Remixes by Man Power and Mytron & Ofofo.

Real Name, No Gimmicks. Luca Musto presents his third solo record Proper Preaching, blending the handmade instrumental sound by his fellow musicians and that special dash of his notorious intricate groove. The four tracks deal with philosophical issues by telling stories of morality in "Lucy's Intension", the ambitions in "State Of Grind", and "Lie To Me", and finally faith in "Proper Preaching." All of this is merged together by the use of samples as well as Luca's own recordings of words and atmospheres.

Carrot Green from Rio de Janeiro is a very nice guy. Actually you can hear that in his music -- he has been providing beautiful world styles combined with classic electronic elements in a very unique way for many years. The Kin Sharuba EP contains an acid-driven original tune and another one called "Orientação Espacial", which is more relaxed. Remix delivery successfully made by Dengue Dengue Dengue from Lima and Comemé's Christian S.
