With Folklore, 16 Horsepower delve deeper into their dark, spiritual reinterpretation of American and Eastern European traditional music. The album blends original material with transformative covers, reshaping folk roots into stark, ritualistic and emotionally charged soundscapes. Banjo, cello, hurdy-gurdy and bandoneon create an archaic sonic world elevated by David Eugene Edwards' haunting vocals. The Oxblood Vinyl Edition presents this landmark recording in a striking new format. Folklore remains one of their most defining works - brooding, hypnotic and deeply evocative, dissolving the boundaries between myth, tradition and modern alternative music.

With Hoarse, 16 Horsepower capture the full force of their live presence. Recorded in Denver and Paris, the album presents material from Low Estate and Sackcloth 'n' Ashes in versions that feel sharper, heavier and more focused than their studio counterparts. The accordion-driven opening of "American Wheeze" sets the tone for a performance that moves with controlled ferocity and haunting precision. Covers such as "Bad Moon Risin," "Fire Spirit," and Joy Division's "Day of the Lords" are transformed into dark, mesmerizing ritual pieces.

Olden returns as part of the Oxblood Vinyl Edition, capturing 16 Horsepower at their raw, formative peak. The album compiles the band's first two studio sessions from 1993/94, featuring early versions of signature tracks like "American Wheeze," "South Pennsylvania Waltz" and "I Seen What I Saw," alongside rare and previously unreleased material. Live recordings from Denver's Mercury Café further reveal the band's magnetic, ritual-like stage presence during their earliest years.

The Oxblood Vinyl Edition brings one of 16 Horsepower's defining works back into focus. Secret South captures the band at their most intense: a brooding blend of gothic Americana, folk roots, country shadows and ritualistic undertones. Bandoneon, banjo, hurdy-gurdy and David Eugene Edwards' unmistakable vocals create a sound both ancient and timeless -- stark, feverish and deeply immersive. The album shifts between sparse minimalism and wide, cinematic arrangements, revealing one of the group's most accomplished and emotionally charged recordings.

16 Horsepower were one of the most unique and inspirational bands in the history of alternative rock. Comprising of Jean-Yves Tolà (ex-Passion Fodder/Lilium) on drums, Pascal Humbert (Passion Fodder/Lilium/Détroit) on bass, and the charismatic front man David Eugene Edwards (guitars, banjo, bandoneon), they recorded two, highly acclaimed studio albums for A&M in the nineties. The band moved on to Glitterhouse in 2000 to release their undisputed rock-masterpiece Secret South, now with Steve Taylor on electric guitar as a fourth member. Their subsequent tour in 2001 was a triumph, and found its way onto CD with the most impressive double album Live, March 2001. The Guardian raved about their London show: "Tonight, 16 Horsepower are the best band in the world." And anyone who witnessed a 16 Horsepower concert will agree. Three years after the release of Secret South the band -- now comprising of the core trio again -- recorded their darkest, most folky piece of music, Folklore, which is often described as the most intense work of their career. Sadly enough, this album became the swan song of one of the greatest bands of all time. Glitterhouse were their partners during this period, which is widely considered the band's most exciting and creative of their career. Glitterhouse now present these three classic albums in a limited-edition box set titled All Access, all carefully remastered for vinyl. Secret South and Folklore both have been out of print for a long time (and sell for outrageous amounts of money) and for the first time ever, Live March 2001 is seeing the light of day on vinyl. All Access is a must for fans of 16 Horsepower and a great starting point for everybody who missed them the first time around. Includes reprints of the original tour posters from 2001 and 2003, download codes for all three albums, and reworked sleeves. 180 gram, virgin vinyl.
