LEENA 015EP
|
Antoine Garcin graces Leena with his EP The Guardian. With his style firmly planted in the tech house scene, legends such as Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice and Joris Voorn have used his tracks in their sets. With bouncing, warm chords and building synths, "The Guardian" will fill a room with deep sounds and energy, while "Personal Feeling" keeps the warm bounce afloat and introduces a soulful vocal. "Numa" has a more stomping bass line with a slightly twisted vocal, and "Over And Ever" brings it all together.

"Actually, this Frenchman's plan was to become more 'sensible' -- well he is in his 30s, has a family and a regular job. He used to be a punk who one day or night, discovered the 4/4 nightlife, which never really let him go again. He has always produced music as a passion and not with the goal of actually living from it. That, of course, is a good thing for a musician, it means that there's no pressure, he can take his time without compromising his work. So, as his music began to develop and become better and better on the side, in 2007 he began to take his music more seriously. He runs the labels Time Has Changed and Time Is Now and as Acumen nonchalantly leans toward the career ladder instead of scratching at the bottom step, electronic gurus like Richie Hawtin have described him as the 'Newcomer of the year'. We are especially pleased about his release on Upon You. Two beautiful tracks -- 'Firmament' and 'Middle.'"
