Colours Revisited, a revision of Adam F's MOBO Award-winning 1997 debut album, is a story of musical rebirth and passion. Adam F, realizing that Colours had found a new audience -- partly thanks to artists like PinkPantheress -- decided to recreate the album. Instead of simply remastering the tracks, Adam went all in. Over two years, he meticulously reworked the original music, from restoring vintage instruments like his Fender Rhodes piano to enlisting UK jazz legends like Julian Joseph. Vocalists including Kirsty Hawkshaw and the late MC Conrad re-recorded their parts, while new solos from world-class musicians added fresh life to the tracks. "Colours holds a special place in my heart because it was not only my first solo album, but also because I had the opportunity to collaborate with diverse talents," says the seminal producer on his ground-breaking album. "Musicians of a caliber such as Dave Ital (Guitars), The Jazz Great Julian Joseph (Keyboards and Fender Rhodes), MC Conrad (MC/Artist), Roni Jordan, Tim Philbert/Tim the Bass (Bass), Greg Leicester (Bass), Maurice Capillaire/MC MC (Live MC)." The revisited album deftly weaves together the energy of new live instrumentation with the '80s British electronica and jazz fusion inspired sounds of the original. The result is a project which not only brings the album into the glistening present but somehow manages to add further depth and sense of understanding of the original Colours, the influences latent within it and how and why it has gone on to influence so many others since its inception throughout the world. This is a must have album which pays homage to what has become a cornerstone of British electronic music history.

Over the summer of 2024, Adam F released a series of reboots on 181 Recordings -- the label founded with vocalist and partner Kirsty Hawkshaw. He now presents painstakingly re-recorded and rebooted versions of his seminal track "Circles," with a reboot by Adam F, as well as the first official release of the Pola & Bryson & Adam F reboot -- which has been causing a storm on DnB dancefloors worldwide. "'Circles' is one of the first tracks where I could express my influences with no boundaries. The music became known as Drum n' Bass but started off as hardcore Rave and Jungle. One of the greatest things about it for me was that I could express myself through that medium using all my influences; funk, soul, reggae and jazz -- freely and unrestricted." says Adam F on the release. "'Circles' has evolved over time with very solid and rich roots. Behind the hooks, basslines and such there are great textures. Saxophone, trumpet, Keyboards and synthesizers contributing to a free flowing arrangement drawing on my love of jazz musicians indulging my own personal imaginative dreamscape of sound. Ultimately I want it to be crafted into something of a listener's story and journey that people can hang their hats on as well as their hearts."

Translucent yellow vinyl. DJ Marky, Makoto, and Nookie reboot Adam F's revisited rework of 1997 hit, "Music In My Mind." Adam F enlists jungle royalty to modernize his 1997 track. Further launching this underground dance classic into new dimensions is Brazil's DJ Marky and expertly selected Japanese producer Makoto. Together, they effortlessly bring the jazz-infused track to the attention of today's ravers with re-jigged, amplified drums. Certified '90s jungle veteran Nookie goes more liquid with his version, heightening the vibes and setting the scene with immense violin strings. "Music In My Mind" was originally featured on Adam F's 1997 album, Colours. Now, as part of the Liverpool-born producer's Colours Revisited album (181 001CD, 2025), the jazzy, vocoder-loaded track inspired by Bob James, Lalo Schifrin, and Chick Corea, has been given a modern reshape. "'Music In My Mind' speaks to the power of music to transport, heal, and uplift our spirits," says Adam F. "This song resonates with those who find solace and freedom in the melodies and rhythms that exist in their own minds and bring back memories of a time when I felt an overwhelming connection to music. This song holds a special place in my heart, and I believe it carries a deeper meaning that resonates with anyone who can relate to finding consolation and liberation in the power of music." There's no better time to keep an eye on Adam F, as he uncovers yet more gold from his elegant and timeless back catalogue. Adam F is as fertile and contemporary as ever with more new production ready to launch unto the legions of listeners hungry for great music as his creativity flows brighter than ever.

Adam F drew inspiration from legendary artists like Lalo Shiffrin, Stevie Wonder, and Quincy Jones, as well as the vibrant funk era for his monumental track. "With these influences I set out to create something truly unique." Looking back on the now towering legacy of the track Adam states: "It's incredibly humbling to think that my work on 'Brand New Funk' sparked a fusion movement within the jungle/drum and bass scene. Over the years numerous bootlegs of my tracks emerged, showcasing the impact it's had. However, I'm thrilled to announce that the two new releases we're unveiling are official collaborations -- a joint effort between myself and Bladerunner, accompanied by the exceptional skills of another talented mixer who prefers to remain anonymous. For these tracks, I had the pleasure of incorporating live funk bass and horns, which further elevated the energy and groove. It has been an incredible path with many a twist and turn, with club performances that have captivated audiences for over a year now. I am truly grateful for the support and the opportunity to share my passion with all of you."
