BEWITH 002EP
|
2022 repress. Originally released in 1982, Anna's cosmic coldwave bomb Systems Breaking Down is one of the most mysterious and sought-after singles of the period. Here, both seminal mixes have been remastered for vinyl by Simon Francis and are housed in a replica jacket of the maxi original. A masterful study in dread, describing the gentle collapse of all structures, it is set against a backdrop of eerie, synth-heavy electronics.

KOM EX105EP

Brazil-born, Barcelona-based Anna returns to her new home Speicher, for the second time in 2018. If one went to a club in 2018, one undoubtedly heard "Hidden Beauties" and touched countless people with her sincere and unabashed passion for techno and DJing. This release presents a different side of Anna; her remarkable production skills continue to shine as she looks more inward with "Remembrance". The A-side combines a broken beat main mix and a four-to-the-floor rendition. "When I Am Only A Dream" continues the path of her previous work, both punishing and caressing the dance floors of tomorrow.

NOMU 182EP

NovaMute welcomes Brazilian producer ANNA to its roster. The first track on ANNA's debut EP for NovaMute, "Razor" was born while playing with her Roland MKS-80, a synth from 1985 and one of ANNA's favorites. "Dreamweaver" is a simple track that always works well on the dancefloor. "Escapism" plays with trippy arpeggio's that lay down the atmosphere for the whole track, it feels really dense and trippy but still powerful, making use of heavier drum sounds for the groove.

KOM EX101EP

2019 repress. Brazil-born, Barcelona-based DJ and producer Anna presents her first outing with Kompakt. Anna has garnered international accolades from MixMag, BBC Radio 1, and others, with recent releases on the likes of Diynamic and Turbo Recordings. Speicher 101 carries the DNA of both the studio head and the club dweller, crafting two propulsive, massive belters out of simple, but effective ingredients. "Hidden Beauties" dominates the A side with raw bass power and sizzling drops of acid, while the flipside brings you "The Dansant", one of these spiraling minimalist techno bangers that just seem to grow indefinitely.

REGUL 035EP
|
"Anna is Boris Brejcha. One such revolutionary elements and surprise that occasionally appear (luckily) in the arena of electronic dance music. With a sound personal super blunt and direct, get to collect the best of each house. After his great maxis in Harthouse and Autist and his fantastic album recently released on the Frankfurt label Die Maschinen Kontrollieren Uns, Regular reaches under his pseudonym Anna to make a lot of noise Black is dynamic, aggressive, and extremely direct, breaking the dance floor! Green combines the speed and forcefulness of the groove that Boris has accustomed us, but with a happy ending. Melody and deep united forever. 'Orange' is playful, funny and capricious. Production excellent for a possessed by the devil track."
