"'Tis indeed a great pleasure to welcome back infamous cut-up terrorists Cassetteboy to their original home on Barry's Bootlegs. Cassetteboy 'accidentally' made a classic debut album with The Parker Tapes in 2002 ('Very, very funny. The bastard offspring of Chris Morris, Cartman and Cutmaster Swift' 8/10, NME) then they sold out and went 'pop' with Dead Horse in 2005 as well as the Antidote/Sanctuary album Mick's Tape... and now they are back with the concept album Carry On Breathing. Covering all the big themes: money, love, death and, er, Croydon Council, Carry On Breathing tells the story of life itself, from birth to death, through the medium of bits of Eastenders, nicked northern soul loops and knob gags. Cassetteboy are childhood friends Michael Bollen and Steve Warlin."

"One of the defining artists in the 'bootleg scene', Cassetteboy are actually 'Mike' and 'Simon', two lads from Brighton with a sick obsession for cutting up pieces of popular culture and re-assembling them in as subversive a manner as possible. In their own words: 'Basically we record famous people and make it sound like they're talking about sex or drugs. It's a winning formula.' Embraced by Sleaze Nation magazine, XFM's James Hyman and the trendy 'Hoxton' crowd, their underground mix CDs (The Parker Tapes and Inside a Whale's Cock) and seven inch records ('Di and Dodi Do Die' and 'Picasio') are now infamous. DJ Yoda popularised their Jamie Oliver mash-up 'Joliver' on his Essential Mix for Radio 1. For their first legal mix CD on Antidote they have trawled through Sanctuary's video and music collection, and come up with something completely original. Equal parts offensive, hysterically funny, intricate and clever, Mick's Tape will make listeners sit up and pay attention, if nothing else. The cut-ups on the mix are interspersed with tracks by the likes of Jaylib, Curtis Mayfield, Jehst and MF Doom; and the end result is the most original mix CD you'll hear this year."
