Cinthie steps up to Aus Music's 200 series with Rave Baby EP. The popular underground mainstay offers three effective and emotive house weapons Cinthie has been at the heart of the European underground for many years. The Berlin-based artist heads up her cultured 803 Crystal Grooves label and the well-respected Elevate.Berlin record store. She has a vast vinyl collection and a deep understanding of house that makes her a favorite all around the world. She has long been a key part of the Aus family and has recently branched out into playing live, all while continuing to serve up timeless sounds that range from rave-ready to deep and driving. This EP is the third in a run of four releases from different artists to mark the 200th outing of Will Saul's influential Aus Music. It is an era-defining label that has platformed some of the scene's brightest stars way before they broke out. Since launching in 2006, the label has remained dedicated to releasing club-ready music with a cultured edge from deep and melodic house to the earliest bass-driven post-dubstep fusions. Cinthie pushes herself into a more ravey fast-paced direction with her lead single "Rave Baby." The well swung kicks are full of warmth as a nimble bassline phrase gets hands in the air and crisp percussion cuts up the beats. It's peak-time fun that completely takes off with the raved-up piano stabs and a steamy female vocal. "I Warned You Baby" sinks into a deeper groove that harks back to '90s New Jersey with diffuse chords, Nu Groove style vocals and punchy drum programming full of good vibes. Closer "What's Poppin'" is passionate house music with depth and drive. Raw percussion, turbo-charged retro stabs and another standout bassline make it a high-class weapon.

HEIST 072EP

Cinthie joins the Heist fam with an EP full of lush, epic house music with three originals and a St. David remix. Cinthie is the kind of artist who seems to be everywhere all at once. In the past years, you've seen her compile a lush DJ Kicks compilation, release numerous EPs on labels such as Aus music, run one of Berlin's finest record stores (Elevate Records), tour the world fiercely, and create an all-new live show. Her EP for Heist has been in the works for a long, long time and it's an absolute pleasure to finally present the Music for Discotheques EP. Spoiler alert: It's a no holds-back, "all killers, no fillers" record. In classic Cinthie fashion, this EP has the Berlin-based artist explore various sides of house music, starting with the vocal cut "Won't U Take Me". Lush pads, shuffling snares and a dreamy female vocal work together to bring a warm and classy house track with a clear nod to '90s US house, but with its feet firmly rooted in the present. Piano heaven takes you on an Italo-meets-deephouse excursion straight into: Piano heaven. A driving 909 groove and a deceptively simple bass form the foundation of the track, but it's the keys (and strings) that bring this track to its full peak-time potential. The energy in this track is of the "hands-in-the-air/screaming-out-loud" type and it has already become one of the biggest tracks in Cinthie's live-show. On the flip, Cinthie explores the pacier electronic side of the dance spectrum, with the footwork inspired jam "Masterplan". Think classic 808's, loopy synths and a cheeky spoken word piece that lifts the song to a level where it's extremely danceable and quite simply put; really fun. The final track of the EP is the expertly crafted remix by Italian house maestro St. David; an artist Cinthie has always been a big fan of. He's made a dazzling rework of "Piano Heaven": A deep and driving deephouse version that's layered in sweeps, fx and bleeps for an altogether mesmerizing effect.

Cinthie's 803 CrystalGrooves returns with a four-track of raw and emotive house music. "Australian Summer" opens the package, a Balearic-tinged house cut featuring sun-drenched pad melodies, bubbling arpeggios, and choppy bass stabs alongside organic drums. "Infinity" follows next with bright chord sequences and crisp 909 drums. "This Bomb Is Mine" takes a more disco-tinged approach this time with filtered string loops, billowing vocal murmurs, and shuffled drums before "Rave Like No One Is Watching" then completes the package, as the name would suggest a high-octane workout designed for the peak-time with gritty rave stabs, penetrating drums, and resonant acid licks.

Berlin native Cinthie returns with the second release on her fledgling 803 Crystalgrooves imprint. "Push It" leads with a stripped-back drum groove made up of a crunchy clap, sharp hats, and a weight kick. "The Worm" follows, this time featuring a high-octane drum workout, subtly unfolding synth flutters, and an underlying low-end drive. "Boomboomroundtheroom" employs dusty drums, frenzied synth stabs, and gritty bass chops, a cut harkening back to '90s Chicago. "Peep Peep" is made of vacillating resonant bleeps, bumpy shuffled drums, and a dynamically evolving structure.

Beste Modus, we_r_house, and Unison Wax co-founder Cinthie launches her new imprint Crystalgrooves with three raw house cuts. Leading on the package is the anthemic heavy hitter "Together", a heady house groove fueled by a filtered, funk-infused bass line, bright organ chords and bumpy 909 drums, the result is an emotive slice of peak-time house. "Ada Lovelace" tips the focus over to dusty, swinging drum sounds and an amalgamation of choppy disco string and vocal samples. "No Need To Worry" rounds out the package with murky bass tones, wandering stab sequences, and stripped-back shuffled percussion.
