BLKRTZ 020EP
The 401 highway which connects Detroit on its southern end and Montreal some 900km to the north east is quite possibly one of the most ugly, boring drives known to man. If any two people were qualified enough to recount the sordid tales one might find in the nooks and crannies of these secret sanctuaries of the wee hours, rest assured Ryan Crosson and Deadbeat have stories for days. Deadbeat's BLKRTZ label puts these two long-time friends together to deliver two atom bombs of breaks-driven grooves filled with dubbed-out vocals, massive funk, and impossibly heavy bass weight.

MDRNTY 001EP
The very first release on the new MDRNTY RECORDS imprint comes from Ryan Crosson. The opening track "Aphelion" offers a futuristic techno beat paired with forward driving baselines and backed by emotional pads. "Appalachia" on the B side, keeps a similar soundscape but slowly shifting into a swinging beat. "Bambi Hands" closes the Ep on a high note. A playful melody as leitmotiv driven forward by a rolling baseline gives the perfect imagery of those endless dancing afternoons on the top of the Swiss Alps for which Modernity is famous.

WAG 044EP
This is Ryan Crosson's debut Wagon Repair EP. With releases on Trapez, Telegraph and M_nus as Berg Nixon, Ryan's shuffled percussive styles are getting many excited. "Confiteria Del Molino" is a bassy and deep bomb with warped vocals, strutting beats, melodic tones and subtle synths. "Sunshine Wave" features a bouncing melody and chattering percussion. A huge bass sound is accented by needling synth and a techno kick. "Use Me Up" bubbles with melodic tones, crackling samples and distorted vocals.

Detroit's Ryan Crosson is remixed by two of the hottest DJs/producers: Bruno Pronsato and Magda. Pronsato has remixed Ryan's track "Hopskotch" in a grand and clonky way. The track is stripped-down and cool, comparable to Guido Schneider but unique in its own way. Magda fuels her "Gotham Road" remix with her club experience. The mix, that was recorded in Richie Hawtin's studio, is fat in sound with a fantastic break down and a cool psychedelic energy.

The Gotham Road EP celebrates the return of Detroit- based Ryan Crosson, who started his career on Trapez Ltd and has gained a reputation through his follow ups on M_nus, Telegraph, Leftroom, Baretta Grey and Esperanza. With "Gotham Road," Ryan continues his killer style and takes on this polyrhythmic track with speed and craziness. The flip-side "Hopskotch" is one of the big hits in his live set, showing masterful production skills. Gotham Road is a real power tool on the dancefloor.

"Since a new group or artists/producers have manifested around the label Minus in the recent years, who seem to be free from the influence of the past Detroit sound and are releasing their own style of techno. Many musical changes have been happening in Detroit. A new music scene has appeared with labels such as Ghostly and Spectral also quite a few independent artists. There seems to be source for new music as Detroit which has always has been a leading city in the USA for techno. Ryan Crosson is one of the these new artists who has started producing music on his laptop in 2003. He attempts to separate his sound from other artists and to find a sound of his own. His 'Say So' trapez ltd release is his debut full length EP. It has been charted by Magda and Minus crew and will be as great tool in the field of minimal techno with a lot of fine nuances within his 4-track EP."
