COMEME 035EP
Buenos Aires's DJs Pareja present Alto. The title track is sleazy and ecstatic, with Mariano incessantly repeating "me siento alto" ("I feel high") over a throbbing bassline reminiscent of the most sensual crooning techno. "Bwoo" is direct and made for the impact on the body mechanics - bouncing acidic euphoria. "Club de La Locura" clings to the utopic idea of the dancefloor as an unreal place of dream and magic. "Mad Box" refers to a small and cheap synthesizer locally produced in the outskirts of the capital. It produces a crazy drone that is present throughout the whole track.

TURBO 169EP
Buenos Aires-based duo DJs Pareja, core members of the amazing Cómeme crew, open this EP with the first of two collaborations with Argentine Tom Tom Clubber, "Vamos Viendo" (previously highlighted on Tiga's 2014 Dance Action mix CD), featuring a simple, catchy bassline; pitched snares; and melodic synth stabs. "Multimedia," also with Tom Tom Clubber, weaves its wild, trippy arpeggio across the dancefloor with devastating power, inducing full-scale trance. Von Party joins for the super-wonky "Serpientes y Escaleras" ("Snakes and Ladders"), a hissing, winding, sub-filled filter-freak-out; and "Alarma," with more rolling snares, arpy synths, and a swelling, ominous alarm sound.

HUNTLEYS 007EP
Glasgow-raised and London-based party outfit Huntleys + Palmers return with a slew of new bangers. First up, Argentinian duo DJs Pareja, who are best-known for their work on the Comeme label, deliver a pair of dancefloor destroyers. If lead track "Steps" doesn't get you dancing, nothing will, with one step in South African kwaito, the other in UK funky. On the flip, "La Risa" takes a different form in the shape of an odd-ball house belter.

COMEME 018EP
From the fuego department of Cómeme comes De la Cabeza ("Off Your Head"). "Ladren Ladren" is doggy-style Chicago and acid rock. A lunatic Latin techno jam called "No Paren" tells you not to stop. Finally, "Saxo Temor" distills things with grandeur: the sax is dizzy, the beat is perfect, and there's a cowbell hanging around our necks.
