Sweden's celebrated '90s indie rock darlings Easy announce the impending release of their album Radical Innocence via A Turntable Friend Records. Initial single "Crystal Waves" kicks off the album. The album was recorded and produced by legendary Pat Collier in his London studio in October 2019. In the early 1990s, Easy was one of Sweden's most notable indie groups. 2020 marks the 30-year anniversary of their highly acclaimed debut Magic Seed album, originally released by Blast First UK, in 2017 reissued by A Turntable Friend Records (TURN 053CD/LP), a critical success that spawned three alternative chart hit singles, "Castle Train", "He Brings The Honey", and "Horoscope". The group also frequently toured Britain and mainland Europe including prestigious support slots with The Jesus and Mary Chain, The House of Love, Lush, and The Charlatans (whose Tim Burgess is a fan of Easy). While the ambitious Sun Years LP (1994) had less of an impact, singles "Never Seen A Star" and "Listen To The Bells" clearly demonstrated that the band had taken several musical steps forward. The perfect combination of Sonic Youth-like intensity and the sweet harmonies of The Beach Boys. Hey trivia fans: ABBA's Agnetha was the baby sitter of Easy singer Johan Holmlund.

After celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of their classic debut album from 1990 Magic Seed (TURN 053CD/LP), Easy present a new album, A Heartbeat From Eternity. The top Swedish exports enjoyed writing songs again, and with producer Charlie Storm, they began recording once more. Two of the songs are throwbacks to the early nineties from when they began: the Manchester groove of "The Reincarnated" and the thundering "Song To Remember". Satisfied with what they had created they pressed some CDs to give away to friends. On a creative roll they decided to write some music to accompany the poems in Johan Holmlund's poetry collection: Swimming With The Beast. Pop songs -- The catchy joy of "I Can Tell You Why", the shimmering Velvets of "Little Boy", and the Chills-esque "A Picture".

Rerelease of the debut album by Easy, Magic Seed. Originally released in 1990. It was twenty-seven years ago that Swedish indie band Easy released their debut album Magic Seed on the renowned Blast First label. Label head Paul Smith evidently recognized the perfect combination of Sonic Youth-like intensity and the sweet harmonies of The Beach Boys. When Easy first arrived in England they met audiences who were unaware of Swedish pop, except for Abba of course. Easy's singer Johan Holmlund quickly took advantage of the situation. With his tongue firmly in his cheek, Johan pointed out that Abba's Agnetha Faltskog was babysitting in their native Jonkoping. The journalists liked what they heard. In June 1990 NME's Dele Fadele wrote: "I think Easy will help break down that traditional English snobbish attitude towards European acts. People will be made to sit up and notice, 'cos what they're doing right now is intrinsically more valid than most of the inadequates who clog up record shops." Easy released three singles: "Castle Train", "He Brings The Honey", and "Horoscope" which all found place in the UK indie charts. They toured all around Europe with the likes of The Gun Club, The House Of Love, Lush, The Charlatans, and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Remastered version of this classic debut, all with hypnotic original artwork by William Latham. CD version comes in a gatefold sleeve; Includes six bonus tracks.
