TRAUM 173EP
|
Traum presents a 12" from the partnership of Dominik Eulberg and Gabriel Ananda. "Owltastic" is a mad tune -- a comical and hyped-up track for the hedonistic peak-time moments. A tour de force of sequences and melodies that climb and climb and climb... until they fall deep. But who if not Dominik and Gabriel are there to catch them and throw them back up in the air? "Friend of All That Lives" starts more introspectively but gains that particular vibe of friendliness and relaxation Eulberg has shown in some of his previous works of brilliance.

Dominik Eulberg and Gabriel Ananda share their special energy exchange with two big crowd-pleasers. The title of the first track "The Space Between Us" refers to the energy which happens between them but also shows the differences in their personality, which makes their tracks so special. The music of "The Space Between Us" is 100% techno music, and a perfect club-track. "Dinosaurs in the Sky" is more house in the modern sense than it is techno, so you might enjoy the contrast of these tracks as well.

Here comes the long-awaited second part of the collaboration between Dominik Eulberg and Gabriel Ananda. "Eucalypse Now" is a cool, almost Latin-flavored groove track with cool synth stabs which highlight peaks of powerful chubbiness. "Bill Kilgore" is a static, monotone, post-trance, epic track which slowly builds up to a 10-minute mind-bender. All tracks were mastered by Emanuel Geller of Salz mastering in Cologne who has mastered all of Dominik's tracks in the past.

This is the second collaboration between these two artists on Traum. Their weekly visits have become somewhat of a ritual, meeting at Ananda's factory for some cherry Danish pastries & jasmine tea. What sounds harmless ends up being a real rave bomb. "NGC 101" is a 10-minute freakout that relies on a reduced beat. "Supernova" sneaks in a lovely chord that makes its way through layers of bass and knob twists, warming the heart of every clubber.
