Eleven tracks recorded when the Faces were at the peak of their live prowess, and a fine document of Ronnie Lane's last gigs with the band. The audience are completely engaged as the band achieve the perfect balance between Rod Stewart solo material and the Faces' own barnstorming songs. Excellent sound throughout, comes with extensive sleeve notes and full recording details.

1971 was very successful for the Faces, and this LP is 1960's Records' first selection of high quality broadcast material recorded that year. Five songs from a John Peel live radio concert combined with a brace of appearances on the Top Of The Pops TV program. You can hear the variety in the band's live set, ranging from a stomping cover of "(I Know) I'm Losing You" through to Ronnie Lane's solo acoustic version of "Richmond". Comes with full sleeve notes and recording details.

The early years of The Faces were characterized by uproarious onstage performances and two disappointing studio albums that failed to capture their onstage excitement. They are fortunate that they were regular visitors to the BBC where their regular appearances on TV and radio proved just how good they were. The tracks here are taken from three high quality 1970 radio broadcasts. Nine tracks give the flavor of a Faces gig -- just loose enough to be exciting and versatile enough to include northern soul, R&B, acoustic folk songs, and a Bob Dylan cover. Full credits and sleeve notes included.

"Faces aka Niklass, former member of the French Troubles Fete sound system, experienced 'liver,' has accomplished himself working with Popof and Manu le Malin while putting dance floors on fire for over 10 years. Repented, his interior quest is now heading towards the crunchy electro of Edbangers (Sebastian), Alter Ego, Back Strobe or the Citizen team. Rock n' roll, rave or electroclash influences, reunited for a new approach of electro, oriented towards the instrumental side, where the machine comes in last, where the synthesizer is played as a violin. A first, strong, dancing and granulous EP."
