AUS 1241EP

After the original George Fitzgerald Child EP swept dancefloors around the world, Aus return with a short and sweet set of remixes that pairs two producers who have proved integral to keeping things fresh in a world inundated with mediocre releases. Multi-monikered Dutch producer and co-head of 4 Lux Records, Gerd aka Gert-Jan Bijl, here dons his disguise as both Geeeman and NY Stomp to supply two trademark raw and jacking tracks, which have their roots firmly planted in the early '90s Chicago scene.

London producer George FitzGerald presents a four track EP entitled Child. His productions combine the lush, melodic sides of house and garage with the more intense, jacking rhythms of dubstep and techno. His second EP for Aus fully explores the 4/4 end of his production spectrum to devastating effect with tracks that are all designed with the peak-time dancefloor in mind.

2014 repress. George FitzGerald presents his debut for Aus Music. FitzGerald once again manages to create a world in which garage, dubstep, house, R&B and a host of other musical influences happily co-exist. On "Silhouette" hints of warm acid, layered, oscillating synth lines, propulsive beats and vocal samples make this a peak-time affair. "Reset" is eight minutes of forward-thinking UK garage combined with the melodic sensibilities of Detroit techno. For the "Silhouette" remix, John Roberts develops a relentless broken groove.
