"The Gabys are a lower than low-key UK bedsit duo, too shy yet to set foot on stage, but their isolation has wrought gem after gem of minimalist cassette recorded melancholy. This is Velvet Underground-inspired electric folk music that can roll with '90s New Zealand greats like Dadamah and The Garbage & The Flowers but also shares parallels with current San Francisco lo-fi pop moodists like April Magazine, Cindy, and Mister Baby. This is The Gabys second vinyl EP after a previous 7" on Fruits & Flowers and a cassette on Detroit's All Gone Records and the four tracks here are over way too soon. There is slightly more space for the gorgeous vocals and melodies this time around but their trademark murky guitar sound is still intact."
