"Halland is a collaborative project between Stockholm's Elias Landberg and Martin Skogenhall. Their first release together gathers the best ingredients of their solo work to make an entirely different cake, producing lively and deep electronic techno. Brimming with hooks and invention, this masterful work pays fitting homage to the notoriously dextrous Ginger Lynn (don't Google it at work). A-side 'Ginger' finds the perfect balance between melodic electronica passages, static pulse and a shuffled percussive push. Catchy and imaginative, the bustle is complimented by a resonant melodic backdrop. B-side 'Lynn' is the deeper of the two, with a Detroit edge to its cold and echoed melodies. A hook crawls from out of the darkness, leading to a floor-seducing climax."
