New York's Kim Ann Foxman steps up for the next installment of Heidi Presents Jackathon Jams with a helping-hand from Boston's favorite duo Soul Clap and Polish heavyweights Catz 'N Dogz. The A-side features the deep and hypnotic "Be Mine," followed by the equally-intoxicating club jam "Let Me Be the One (New York Club Mix)." On the B-side Soul Clap deliver a spaced-out remix of "Let Me Be the One," while Catz 'N Dogz add a dose of acid to their rolling version of the track.

Heidi releases a pumping house EP of the highest order from one-to-watch Rob Amboule, featuring industry legend Derrick Carter and Clone heavyweights Serge & Tyrell. "Cracks" kickstarts the EP with high energy, ounces of groove, and an intoxicating bass line with Derrick Carter on vocals adding that perfect element. "Tension" continuously creeps and rises with soaring synths and a gritty electronic bass line guaranteed to lock you in the groove. Serge & Tyrell bring their bumping house power to deliver a stomping remix of "Cracks," and last up is original track "Bank Holidayz," a whomping dancefloor bomb to round off a very solid release.

Bristolian dream-team Waifs & Strays vs. Lukas meets Chicago legend DJ Sneak: that sums up the next Jackathon Jams package from the queen of the scene, Heidi. Loaded with bleeps, bumps and bass, "Gimme Love" is driven by its disco-chugging bass line and low-slung groove, while the "Stokes Croft Dub" version gives the track a warped, stoned haze. Second original "Dance Me (Dance You)" combines heavy low-end with more '90s female vox swagger and DJ Sneak delivers his unmistakable funked-up Chicago style in a rendition of "Gimme Luv" with strains of boogie.

Two tracks from London DJ Alexis Raphael plus a remix from Marc Houle are on this second installment in Heidi's Jackathon Jams series. "Brickwall" kicks off with sauntering percussion and a rubbery bassline soon to be invaded by wonky synths and FX along with a central vocal line. "You Can Do It" follows in a similar vein with another distinctive spoken male vocal entering the pulse of the rough-edged, jacking groove. Houle pioneer strips back "Brickwall" with his expansive approach.

Heidi presents Jackathon on Get Physical, a rollercoaster ride full of raw funk, shaking out those grooves until you can't stop moving and leaving no question as to who is the true queen of jack. Growing from the loose and family-based Jackathon parties that started in October 2010 and now holding residencies in Berlin and London, the Jackathon is about energy and feeling and expressing something that lurks deep in the soul. Featuring 16 exclusive tracks from Heidi's closest peers and artists that helped shape Jackathon's journey, the compilation showcases music from Juan MacLean, Jamie Jones, Soul Clap, Solomun, Deetron, Anja Schneider & And.id, label mates DJ T plus vocal drops from the legendary Derrick Carter. The first lady of BBC Radio 1 and a major female force in dance music, Heidi invites you to move your body, and when she asks, there's not many that can refuse. Introduced personally by one of the kings of house music, Derrick Carter, this is an invigorating journey into the roots of music culture as it is influenced by the schools of '90s New York style hip-hop and house (Juan MacLean's "Love In Tatters"), funk (Soul Clap's "Incoming Bitch"), and acid (DJ T feat. Nick Maurer "High"), exploring new realms for jacking music (Steve Bug's "Jack Is Back"). Referencing where it all began in the infamous lyrics of Fingers Inc., The Jackathon takes you through the ages and features original vocal drops made for the mix by the one and only Derrick Carter, who has been a major inspiration to Heidi. Other artists include: Waifs & Strays, Darius Syrossian, Lauhaus & Kabale und Liebe (feat. WKD), Mathias Kaden (feat. Gjaezon), Camea, Actor One, Matt Tolfrey and Boris Werner.

This is London-based Heidi's debut mix CD, Monza Club Ibiza Compilation Vol. 1, on Get Physical. After setting up shop at the Phonica record store in central London three years ago, Heidi's profile as a DJ grew, leading to gigs in Berlin and appearances at the Monza Club in Frankfurt, run at the time by DJ T. and Patrik Dechent from Sunsetpeople, another Get Physical artist. When Patrik moved to Ibiza, he set up the Monza night there, where Heidi also played. Informed by the same open-mindedness that persuaded her to check out a rave in Windsor ten years ago and which changed her life, Heidi's mix harkens the exciting freshness of the Ibiza climate, avoiding repetition and never staying in one place for too long. "It's representative of a three-hour set that I would play -- but that also depends on where you're playing and who you DJ with. I wanted to showcase all the different styles of music I'm into." she claims. Monza certainly flows through a range of house and techno styles and emotions. From Dennis Ferrer and Kerri Chandler's breathy, sensuous house to the ominous bass of Martin Landsky's "1,000 Miles," the reduced funk of John Tejada's "Forced Fiction," Heidi and Riton's jacking "Vejer" -- recorded especially for the mix -- and Erol Alkan's upbeat, summery remix of Hot Chip, Heidi isn't afraid to diversify. She doesn't restrict herself to brand new tunes either, and the mix starts with Carl Craig's seminal 1990s version of Maurizio's "Domina." Disinterested in fads and fashions, Heidi's biggest hope for Monza is that, like the "Domina" remix, in a disposable world, it becomes timeless. "That would be my biggest aspiration for the mix, that in five years' time, someone will pick it up, listen to it and it'll still sound fresh," she says. "I still listen to old Andrew Weatherall mixes and they're fresh, and I hope the same thing happens with Monza." Other artists include: Darkmountaingroup, Fuckpony, Moritz Piske, Tobias, Cobblestone Jazz, Marc Houle and Alex Under.
