The Reggaetronic company operating under the project name iLLBiLLY HiTEC is poised to release King Size Dub Special. iLLBiLLY HiTEC's electronic tinkerings and styles have carved a swathe straight through the middle ground of the "sophisticated" modern reggae prevalent on the German scene and even worldwide for more than ten years. The band's strange-sounding name sparks a vision of a "what the fuck" attitude, and it manifests itself with its formidable, sweet-sounding mellifluous sounds. The mix is an intoxicating loop with sound sketches borrowed from reggae into which pseudo-spheric elements from breakbeat, hip hop and pop have been absorbed to weave masterful club dub. Now, after ten years the band will say "Good bye friends, good bye Reggaetronics" and will continue on to new projects. The last gig will happen in Berlin on the 19th of October in the legendary YAAM Club with great special guests and the final chapter will be the release of King Size Dub Special -- time to twist and shout to the glorious music of iLLBiLLY HiTEC. Overdubbed by the London-based Dub Pistols; reggae fusion culture at its best!

iLLBiLLY HiTEC return with One Thing Leads To Another, after their first barn-storming single "Rude Boy Talk", a track that fuses break beat, hip hop, and dancehall, and is a tempting taster of the new album. The band's third album was produced in collaboration with Juno Award winner Jesse "Dubmatix" King in Toronto and Berlin. On the band's third album, the focus is again firmly on an amalgamation of reggae with the genre's elementary electronic facets. iLLBiLLY HiTEC grab reggae by the roots in their inimitable way and build a varied cocktail of roots, digital, hip hop, and dub. The Berlin-based band managed to lure the spearhead of Austrian MC culture, Kinetical, as lead vocalist. There are also many guests, including Lengualerta (Mexico), Horseman (UK), Promoe (Sweden), Gardna (UK), and Parly B (UK) from the international scene, all of whom contributed fantastically skilled flows to the album. One Thing Leads To Another is a mature album that fully deserves a place in the higher international echelons. Also features: Longfingah, Fli Supertramp, EmWan, HanIvan, and Daphne BlueBird. CD version includes two bonus tracks with remixes from Fleck and Dubmatix; Edition of 1000.

iLLBiLLY HiTEC's electronic tinkerings and styles have carved a swathe straight through the middle ground of the "sophisticated" modern reggae prevalent on the German scene. Their intoxicating sound sketches borrow from reggae and introduce elements of breakbeat, hip hop, and pop for masterful club dub. Reggae Not Dead is iLLBiLLY HiTEC's follow-up to their 2013 debut, Reggaeetronics (EB 092CD), and follows lengthy tours with hundreds of shows in Europe and Latin America. While Reggaetronics celebrated a fusion of reggae with electronic elements, this time the Berlin-based band focuses on old-style reggae interpreted for the modern age, conjuring up a varied mix of roots, digital, hip hop, and dub. Singers Longfingah and Tribuman, who also joined the band on tour, feature on the album, as does an international cast consisting of Paco Mendoza, Lengualerta, Daman, Kinetical, Cheshire Cat, La Yugular, and Sonido Satanás, who round off the album with their English, Spanish, French, and Patois lyrics. As a bonus there are four remixes by JStar, Zion Train, Krak in Dub, and Fleck, as well as a riddim selection with versions by Don Caramelo (Raggabund), Lengualerta, Benjie, and The Hempolics from London. With 19 tracks in all, the album proves that reggae from Germany is anything but dead.

iLLBiLLY HiTEC is a Berlin-based band that started tweaking the knobs and experimenting with live drums and live vocal performances in 2010. They juice up reggae and electronics and blend influences of dub, breakbeat, hip-hop, and jungle. Live drums, electronic sounds, heavy offbeats and selected samples chosen from reggae classics team up with live vocals, to create a one-of-a-kind performance. Their first EP BadBoyBass, a few vinyl releases, and positive feedback on their concerts in Europe, India, Mexico, Japan, Indonesia, etc., all made iLLBiLLY HiTEC become the most interesting newcomer in German reggae. Even SEEED, the biggest name on the German reggae market just picked their style for a remix of "Augenbling." With Reggaetronics, they'll be touring around the globe in 2013. The album includes guests such as Cécile, Lady N, Tribuman, Emanreo, JahJahman, and Dactah Chando. MC Longfingah, who also has released with Dubmatix and Mungo's HiFi and is one of the most talented reggae singers in Germany, is turning the album and their shows into an electronic reggae sonic with splendid vocal impressions.
