This release was much more about exploring the building of our creation... We spent a lot of time on the sounds, which were mostly from digital hardware sources. |
Jets' self-titled EP pulls together all the contrasting colors of the duo's individual visions of electronic dance music. Syncopated rhythms and stuttered drum clacks perforate the EP with electro-funk layered on top. "In Her City" pulls together vocal cuts and soft stabs around an off-kilter, syncopated strut. "Sin Love With U" features rising stabs, toppling drums and melodic samples filtering. "Mue" is filled with moody synth lines, decimated basses and noodling electronics, while "Lock Lock Key Key" is a rhythmic workout.
