Gal (Juju) and Jordan (Jordash) return home to the Dekmantel stable for their fourth LP. It's their most complete record to date -- a series of purpose-written compositions that highlight their maturity as musicians, and adept dexterity in the studio. The duo is an integral part of Dekmantel's history, dating back to 2009 when they where they were the first act to release on the imprint. Nowadays, Juju & Jordash have evolved far beyond their "oddball house" moniker. Their freestyle approach to performance, and immaculate refined sounds have become somewhat more defined, in a style that's unique, yet elaborate, with a sense of otherworldliness, not only befit for the dancefloor, but otherwise transcendental moments. Following 2014's Clean-Cut (DKMNTL 021CD/LP), a record of primal, forward thinking, variations from the studio, Sis-Boom-Bah is an album steeped in studio traditionalism, with a direction towards composition. "We wanted the focus of this album to be the music and not necessarily the process, so we made sure to perfect the performances before shifting the focus on to the production," states Jordash about the record. Recorded over the space of a few, intense weeks, and built upon years of improvised live shows in front of thousands of listeners, Sis-Boom-Bah was written around grooves written by Juju on the guitar, and Jordash on the Rhodes. It was the first album the duo have written using such an approach, and solely produced and mixed by Jordash in Amsterdam over the course of a year. Sis-Boom-Bah's diverse, spiritual nature is built around Juju & Jordash's use of polyrhythms. The percussive sequenced grooves and rhythmic backbone were generated using the Yamaha DX7, along with the Roland TR606 drum machine. This approach to rhythm can be heard from the outset within the very first track "Herkie", an ephemeral, yet tribal approach to minimalist funk. The spirituality flows throughout the record, where it sounds like the duo have brought along the nature with them from the forest-y raves. In actually fact, the background noise comes courtesy of "noise generators from two separate synthesizers, each with its own filter slowly opening and closing so it kinda sounds like waves or wind." There are also nods towards their acid influences, with some surefire slices of house music too. Sis-Boom-Bah is still very much a Juju & Jordash record, yet it's one with a greater depth, musically and stylistically.

Israeli hybrid house and techno masters Juju & Jordash return to Dekmantel Records with yet another outstanding release. A three-tracker and a fine display of Gal Aner and Jordan Czamanski's next-level, improv based way of painting records. "Monday Mellow" is a dubbed-out, twisted and subtly emerging house groover, while "Wednesday Something" continues the journey with a dense electronic jazz-tinged stomper. "Thursday, Heavy." demonstrates their full range, combining eerie melodic synth excursions with a jagged bassline -- an out of this world, destructive yet classy house bomb.

Famed live act and hardware lovers Juju & Jordash are releasing another full-length on Dekmantel. Clean-Cut, a nine-track affair, sees the duo fully embrace the album format, creating a tight tapestry of emotive and danceable sound that reveals more detail and depth with each new listen. Textures range from organic and lush to synthetic and arresting. Deep-space serenity gets juxtaposed with more urgent and alien paranoia. "Clean-Cut is tighter, more honest, and there's less hiding behind a hazy screen of FX," say the pair. The new release marks a clear evolution in the career of these singular artists. Clearly, Clean-Cut is another feather in the already resplendent bow of Juju & Jordash. Juju & Jordash have a longstanding and tight relationship with the Amsterdam-based record label and event powerhouse, Dekmantel. Juju & Jordash are a staple on Dekmantel club nights and festivals. This is their third full-length on Dekmantel, a further consolidation of their five-year bond.

Another killer offering on the Dekmantel label from Juju & Jordash. Two long-assed winners on here. Don't sleep, get with the "Sensational Israeli Jazzmen" sound. The title "Waldorf Salad" refers to the legendary synthesizer that helped shape the landscape of clean, detailed, yet warm electronic music. The AA-side contains "Third Planet from Altair." Here Juju & Jordash redefine an anthemic journey with a more than nine-minute-long cut. It's a quick-paced, deep house affair with plenty of elegant synth work.

Continuing their distinctive synthesis of spaced-out jazz un-standards, murky dub and hypnotic electronics, Juju & Jordash exploit the triple vinyl format to launch a mission bound for the innermost depths of their sound. It's obvious the writing and production have reached a new level in their exciting evolution. Now it's time for the music to reach an audience beyond just techno and house. Techno Primitivism is just beautiful music, period. Gatefold sleeve with free download.

Gal Aner and Jordan Czamanski aka Juju & Jordash are finally on Philpot, presenting their psychedelic-Kraut-techno track "Tattoo's Island" in three fantastic cuts! The original is a tension-laden epic, rising like a hot tropic thunderstorm, leaving you electrified to the bone. The dub version strips it down a bit and changes the tone mid-track to a more techy-edge -- spiritual, snare-driven and dubbed out. Tom Trago's remix gives the track a whole new twist. On clear vinyl.

Dekmantel's first-ever release sets the standard higher than an Amsterdam tourist, thanks to the multi-talented Israeli duo Juju & Jordash. Pinpointing Juju & Jordash's style isn't easy. Say they make fearless, jackin' Chicago house, and they'll reply with a cosmic, experimental, slow-jam. So it's no surprise, really, that this LP ranges from experimental tracks like the oud-flooded "Jugdish" and the reggae-jazz jam "Niks" to pulsing, deeper tracks like "Time Slip Remix" and "Quasi." "Deep Blue Meanies," "Pulse A Denura," "Dirty Spikes" and "Jazzy Trance" are -- plain and simple -- pure dancefloor material. Raw, energetic, musical bliss.
