"Anton Klint has been on our radar for a good ten years now with killer releases as Tiedye on Italians Do It Better, and under his own name on Public Possession, 2MR, and Hivern Discs just to mention a few. Since 2016 he's also been running the label Tryck & Ton together with his old Tiedye sparring partner Edvin Edvinsson. We're psyched to have him onboard and we hope you are too!" --Prins Thomas, January 2020

2MR 032EP

Last spotted as Tryck & Ton with Edvin Edvinsson, and prior to that as Tiedye on the Italians Do It Better imprint, subversive Swede Anton Klint makes his debut on 2MR with Ups & Downs, two more vitally trippy, heavily dub-informed originals. "Mun" is rippling in places, squiggling in others, with an unabashed FX weirdness bubbling and popping over the insistent shimmering dub-wise groove. "Strupe" takes things even lower and slower with unhurried, yet relentlessly building with a great sense of cosmic drama. Remix-wise you're thrust into the later hours with a technoid twist from Andre Laos.

Anton Klint returns with another highly danceable EP. "Save yourself some time and have Drunch," says the sticker gracing the cover. This dictum can be interpreted in various ways, but one thing is for sure, if you buy this record, you will have at least two tracks that will help you control the dancefloor with ease any given night. "Drunch" is a euphoric track with layers of emotional guitar riffs in typical Klintman manner. Flip to discover what Anton serves for "Dessert." At 132bpm, this high-energy twister leaves no questions unanswered. Double cheers from Anton Klint to all of us.

The sixth offering by Public Possession comes from Anton Klint. This is his first-ever solo production. While Part 01 is more pumping and dancefloor-orientated, on Part 02 Anton develops an epic guitar-driven flood of joy. Play this at the Riviera beaches and on the Côte d'Azur... you can be sure to have bottles pop open and blouses unbutton immediately.
