Deniz Kurtel's second full-length album is a true reflection of the complexity and simplicity that have come to represent the artist. Effortlessly weaving entirely new sub-genres, while daring to convey its fragility, she assembles the Marcy All-Stars, a loose collective term that encompasses her long-time muses, friends, and co-conspirers. The term comes from the Marcy hotel in Williamsburg, New York -- an underground nightclub-come-creative-space and Wolf + Lamb label studios that gave Nicolas Jaar his first gig, inspired a multitude of collaborations and re-shaped the sound of house music as we know it.
