KAILASH 016EP
|
"Born near the French border and growing up in the 90s, Dirk Lamprecht (aka DML) developed a strange -- but even more so -- strong interest in hardcore-techno. But this style quickly became too limited for him and he adopted the sound of Detroit: Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin and Robert Hood became the most influential artists for him. Over the years he became affiliated with an even greater spectrum of musical influences, ranging from all sorts of electronic music to jazz and even world music. For his debut on Kailash, Dirk delivers 3 tracks with his own touch. The track 'Bazar' is a track with house and techno influences, a perfect Johnny D's beat style and trippy oriental melody. This track rocks the dancefloor 100% sure! Side A2 is a perfect track where he shows his influences such as Carl Craig. Totally Detroit style! Side B1 'Kerala' is more deep with a hypnotic sitar and melody from space with nice percussion. On Side B2 Sian's (Poker Flat/ Karma Rouge) remix closes this EP with a remix techno perfectly executed, bombardment of percussion, intense!"
