DIRT 114EP

Felix Leifur has been working his studio hard this past summer and caned out a whole bunch of awesomeness! The A-side starts with "Between US", a cool, jazzy track with a tribal bongo rhythm, followed by the deep "Hamburg 3011", an off-beat mash up of soul, guitar and funk groove. He then delivers bang-on electro with "Pinot Noir 1985", combining a dope-ass beat and a warped piano loop. Next is the garage-y "Modern Soul Classics" with massive subs underlying Rhodes and drum cut-ups, moody and deep in his signature style. "Merlot 1988" is a real Icelandic bossa nova affair!

Felix Leifur presents The Sunday Club EP. On the A side, "Berg Toppur", is a dance floor workout, a sublime balance of shimmering rhodes and vibrant arps with slamming organic percussion. "Giving" is a spirited and warbling cut with crooning vocals and gritty horn blasts. On the B-side, "The Sunday Club" is an eclectic and somewhat eccentric jam with samples from across decades. Hidden Spheres' "Rocky Top" remix of "Berg Toppur" eases in with a casual vibe and steamy drums. Finally, "Wait" sets the mood with a dusty jazz piano refrain and a strutting groove.
