"This 12″ is release #26 of Resopal Red and the debut and kick-off of a new series and concept. Resopal Red focuses on modern house in association to the modern digitality and antique analogism. Since its first release in 2005, by Chicago legend DJ Pierre, Resopal Red tries always to bring innovations into dance music and continues to change concepts, style and genre. As we are all getting more and more digital minimal, this is the result of the teamwork between musician and programmer, program and consumer. The current club sound under the term digital minimal is disused more and more as an excuse for repetitive, uninspired productions without any musical references. Our intention was and still is to create and compile a contribution to the electronic music fans. To work, to share and to exchange with each other the DJ, the artists and the labels we love -- mainly small labels and producers based in Paris, Cologne, Athens which share a certain, similar view of house. It's amazing seeing all these great labels like Oslo, Drumpoet, Sub Static to name a few doing what they do: pushing things forward in a creative way -- what the major companies have lost on their marketing swept business: creating and producing new music. Future music. After celebrating the 25th release we think it's time for a new concept: Asking the best current producers about their view on house music (whether it's jackhouse, microhouse, clickhouse, loops or beats) and to contribute a track to be released on vinyl and to share this vinyl with another artist. The result: Resopal Red showcases the finest in sound and design, including two brand new tracks, carefully selected for the next music-lover of this very specific genre."
