A relentless vinyl collector and a fervent connoisseur of Anglo-American culture, the founding painter of the Figuration Libre movement (with Di Rosa, Blanchart, and Boisrond) in the early '80s, Robert Combas has always connected his art with rock music. The two are always intertwined and fuel his inspiration. During his exhibition Sans Filet, Robert Combas made an essential encounter with the artist and video maker Lucas Mancione, also from the town of Sete. They decided to make the leap together, at the start of the '10s, and create the band Les Sans Pattes. Notre Renaissance is a dazzling discharge, a geyser of cold and searing emotions, a conscious search for a unique and extreme experience. The tension in each track is palpable, as constant as it is pregnant. This band is full of character. Sometimes electronic, often a bit punk, always particularly rock n' roll - raw and physical tracks, compact and heady. Les Sans Pattes always lean towards psychedelics and repetition. Double LP version comes in a gatefold sleeve and includes a CD.

Les Sans Pattes present a self-titled EP with this CD and DVD release. Les Sans Pattes is the rock band of Robert Combas (world renowned contemporary painter and creator of the "free figuration" movement) and Lucas Mancione. Both are all-rounder, multi-instrumentalists, rigorous and nutty at the same time. They handle plastic arts, are musicians, video makers, actors, performers - in short, they are complete artists. They've got a rich and eclectic repertoire of more than 100 songs with no limit: they move from rock to techno, from a love song to punk, with the same dexterity in each and every register. "Ta Peau" features Gael Manangou. Presented in a two panel digisleeve. PAL DVD (Region 2 for Europe only), includes English subtitles.
