BLKBXXX 011EP
Matt-U drops his definitive release via Black Box, showcasing a different side of his production, from the laser-guided ordinance of the title-track, to the murky depths of Killawatt collab "The Strangers," via the furious breakstep of "Backwards." This will be the first release in the Black Box XXX series to feature full artwork, as it develops from a stealth-themed DJ tool imprint into a fully-fledged label in its own right.

BLACKBOX 026EP
Matt-U has had essential dubstep releases across such auspicious labels as Osiris, Wheel & Deal, and of course, Black Box. His latest 12" is the culmination of that work, focusing his sonic beam to produce two pieces of white-hot 140 pressure. "Wipe Em Out" is pure swagger, pairing hard-swung halfstep beats with a sick, low-frequency laser bass. "Uncontrolled" is cut from the same cloth, with stuttering, coughing subs underpinning everything; a mixture of punchy drums, ominous FX and digital dub trickery.

SUBSCUM 005EP
"Lurking in the back of every transportation vehicle there is always someone who is up to no good. Someone who vandalizes other people's property and wrecks havoc everywhere he goes. They're called lowlifes, 'Bullies of the City,' scum of the earth. They don't give a shit about anybody else. Just thinking where they're at now and how they can raise hell in any possible way. Matt-U has stood up and offered his Dope EP as a means of destruction upon the non-believers. The A side delivers chaos unlike we have ever seen before. People pulling and hitting each other, turning themselves into scum of the night, not giving a shit about the rest. Flip it over to B1 for 'Heads Up' -- it'll be the last time anything happens unnoticed. Keeping the scum people focused and ready for action. 'Take Cover' keeps everything in check, the announcer warns people of this terrible threat that's gripping itself among the crowds. So run like crazy if you want to be safe. This is not a drill!"

BOK 023EP
"Debut release on Boka Records for Hungarian based production maestro Matt-U. Fresh from a release on NType's label Wheel & Deal, these two unique deep and dark productions have been kept relatively under wraps until now, currently receiving support from the likes of Jakes, N-Type, DJ Madd, Vista, Flight (Rinse FM) and Nick Argon (Sub FM). 'Can't Wake Up' is a high energy thriller not to dissimilar from the sounds of Benga, literally impossible to keep still to this one, industrial skankout business, 'Whyle The Fuck Out' is a fresh funk-tastic deep roller which is gunna surprise a lot of people."
