Julia Porter, best known as Miss Jools carved her niche in the UK capital before making Mobilee her musical home. Mobilee presents the third installment of its compilation and DJ mix series, Back To Back Vol. Three. This edition combines the id, ego and superego of the selected 2008 tracks produced by Mobilee artists, remixed by various other artists, and then remixed again by Miss Jools in a 2CD spectacular: CD1 is an unmixed selection of 2008 Mobilee tracks, all handpicked by Miss Jools, while CD2 welcomes a list of her favorite producers to remix their picks of the Mobilee pack with an additional Miss Jools spin -- finalizing all tracks on the second disc. The evolution of the Back To Back compilation series has greatly expanded since Vol. 1's Mobilee-only in-house remix session by Anja Schneider and GummiHz mix of 30 looped and edited tracks. Now Miss Jools has invited talents from the likes of Cassy, Tobias, Nick Curly, Dinky, D'Julz, Efdemin, Christian Burkhardt, Vincenzo, Tex Mex and Solomun, extending the musical landscape. Miss Jools -- aka Berlin-based Julia Porter -- has been on the grind ever since she left London and joined the ranks of Mobilee in the summer of 2008. The second Djane on the Mobilee roster, she's been successfully winning the hearts of Berlin's top players. Avid electronic music listeners will be treated to valleys of sound beyond minimal with hip- twisting tracks like Sebo K's "Diva," a remix of Pan-Pot's genius wonder "Charly," and the best of GummiHz this year -- some original, some remixed and many others mixed by Miss Jools' posse. An astoundingly danceable mix from a label that never disappoints. She may be new to Mobilee, but Miss Jools is no rookie. As the front face of Sleeper Thief with Audiofly, this wicked spinner is a key figure of London's underground music circuit. "La Luna" features contemplative wooden taps, beats and hums, while "Que Me Levante" takes the listener to a spiritual place with an airy dance groove and minimalistic dance beats. Both tracks are great for working and for mellowing out.
