"The combined sound of Glasgow, Newcastle and Leighton Buzzard, Park Attack kicks no wave into the realms of fantasy. Describing their sound as 'what wave', PA aren't interested in the label of 'Glasgow artrock', rather, the band finds themselves more comfortably positioned at the pop end of experimental, as opposed to the experimental end of pop, just like Pere UBU -- Pere UBU's David Thomas may also be a father figure for Rob's peculiar way of singing --, DNA or the early Sonic Youth. Rob Churm, with three-string guitar, short-circuit soul vocals and live performances bursting with a thwarted sort of energy, combines with drummer Lorna Gilfedder, to create a nebulous, driving and dynamic base which Tom Straughan's synths respectively build on, or ground."
