TAR 016EP

Booty-shaking and mind-moving! The new S3A release specifically originated and is meant for the dancefloor, one dancefloor in particular to be precise. Taking experience from his alma-mater Rex- Club in Paris, S3A crafts a four-track EP to honor this legendary venue in the heart of Parisian music history. The label Times Are Ruff releases a steady stream of DJ-friendly tools and dancefloor-ready house tracks, with a hint to the past but never sounding dated.

Quartet Series welcome back Parisian sample connoisseur S3A. "Presentiment" is a collaboration with Mika Blaster. Starting off with majestic strings then suddenly dropping into a massive beat with haunting samples flourishing over the thriving percussion. "Something More" picks up where Antois Benime left off. A genius mix of uplifting samples and 909 percussion makes this another club ready weapon. "Wu Impact" packs soft and sweet Rhodes chords, an insanely groovy bass line with percussion, and those mellifluous strings again. Deep slammer "Influences" again displays S3A's ability to use a wide array of elements within a single tune.

SOSR 020EP

S3A (Sampling As An Art) is house project by Max Fader based on the idea that electronic music is a blend of different cultures and music. Started in 2001 when Max began jamming on analog machines and samplers with different projects from techno (FriendShip Connection) to S3A. It is through S3A that he expresses his taste for soul and house music. Similar to MCDE, Floating Points, he uses the process of sampling as a basis to color his music with sounds of all his inspirations. Code 3711 EP is the perfect definition between underground house music and dancefloor efficiency.
