Sasse's "Soul Sounds" in its "Freestyle Man Original Dope Mix" got heavy play by Ricardo Villalobos, Steve Bug, and the Pokerflat massive and was even featured on the Sony Playstation 2 game Decks & EFX! Now remastered and re-cut at Dubplates & Mastering for the ultimate sound experience, this one will fly away. The limited pressing never really got the chance it deserved, so Moodmusic are releasing this mutha again with a remix from darlings of the dirty bizniz, Dirt Crew aka James Flavour and Break 3000.

Double LP version. Starting in 2004 with Made Within the Upper Stairs of Heaven and 2008 with Toinen, Sasse Lindblad has a tendency for symmetry, and now with the release of Third Encounter in 2012, this album has been worth the wait. Analog synthesizers, sequencers and tape decks are something which are widely used in today's electronic music, but it is the mixture of the old and new -- keeping the tradition of live jams instead of pre-defined arrangements, choosing high standards in fidelity but keeping the rough feel to it -- these elements together keep the sound of Sasse one step ahead of the competition, and it is why he is considered one of the most consistent producers in the scene. While "Fingers Inc" and "707 Heaven" pay homage to the golden era of Detroit and Chicago house, songs like "Analog City" and "Fantazy" bring memories of the mid-'90s Sasse material, true deep house as it used to be done. While "Alpha" and "Der Groove" take a naked live-jam approach to how to abuse analog goodies, "Low Slove" and "Treat Me" are raw sample-based tunes, perfect for a late night DJ set. Third Encounter showcases the 20 past years of Lindblad as a musician, DJ and sound engineer -- one who has seen most of the modern musical styles evolve and dissolve.

"On My Mind" gets a remix treatment from the hottest trio of club cowboys right now. Roberto Rodriguez digs his 909 out of the closet and works out a mid-'90s inspired slammer, not far away from the golden times of Strictly Rhythm. Mano Le Tough brings us some of his trademark Balearic deep techno with soothing melodies and a churner of a bass line.

Moodmusic head-honcho and A&R-man Klas "Sasse" Lindblad brings you the first installment of a new co-operation between Moodmusic and their friends from Starstyling Worldwide, one of the more interesting fashion/design companies in Berlin. Compiled originally for the Starstyling "Hokus Fokus" show at Berlin's Fashion Week in the summer of 2009, Starstyling vs. Moodmusic takes you on a journey of unreleased gems and forthcoming goodies as well as special edits of some recent hits from Moodmusic, building a well-conceived DJ-mix of quality music that you should be used to hearing from the native Finn on dancefloors around the world. In the past 15 years, Moodmusic has been growing into one of the main players in European electronic house with a respectable artist roster of past, present and future stars of the scene, lovingly steered by Sasse through many different territories, while always staying true both to himself as well as to his artists. While the first releases took their lead from the twin poles of Detroit and Chicago, each new record has expanded the horizons of the label with wonderful results, also gathering a small but dedicated artist pool enhanced by guest appearances from the label's most talented friends and colleagues from all over the world. Artists in this compilation include: Stel, King Roc, Dave DK, Daso, Ada, Kiki & Sasse, Till Von Sein, Filippo Moscatello, Tigerskin, Dirt Crew, Penner+Muder, Lil Tony, Holger Zilske, Richard Davies, Nick Chacona, and Anthony Mansfield.

Mood Music rolls out another remix pack of tracks off Sasse's Toinen album, featuring the artist's favorite remixers. Pied Plad's remix presents bass-shakin' beats and slow techno-funk mixed with the Detroit sound. Taking a turn into early '90s deep house inna UK style, Daso's remix features mesmerizing synths, bubbly bass, and drum-programming. Paulo Olarte revs up the bass line and keeps the percolator running. Penner+Muder add vocal snippets, bouncy beats, and a low-slung bass line to "Wrapper," keeping the groove intact.

"The standout track from the recent Sasse album Toinen, 'Break Up' has gained props and thumbs-up from all over the world -- now served in hot remixes from Timewriter, Dirt Crew and Turntable Rockers. The original is, of course, in its full glory included. With support and plays by Todd Terje, Jeff Samuels, Marc Roberts and Sian to name a few, the original is a perfect match of old school meets new school. Timewriter tackles the theme with his trademark bounce, and adds a flavor of elegant tech-house to it all, spicing up the strings into a frenzy of cut-ups and massive synth lines, building a tense arrangement, which will work on both big-rooms as well as for the connoisseurs. 2nd up is Moodmusic faves Dirt Crew, offering one of their dry, driving and for-the-floor-injected remixes with a strong house appeal but definite dubby techno influences which will work a treat at 6 a.m. Last but not least, Berlin producers Turntable Rockers turns 'Break Up' into a more sinister late night house affair, with added vox snippets and an arpeggiated darkroom disco feel to it."

"First single from the forthcoming album called Toinen, Sasse comes forth with two long, evolving, pulsing deep tracks which bring the Finn back into his roots of house music. 'New Sun Day' is not exactly deep house in its purest form, but is evolving into a melodic synth-laden monster with a skippy rhythm and a deeper than deep bass line which rolls the track into a 12-minute journey of trippy melodies and quirky effects. 'Clemens' is dedicated to a well known producer from back in da days with its stabby groove and white noise punctuated arrangement with slow evolving analog trickery in the bass-department. A slightly darker affair than 'New Sun Day,' 'Clemens' still keeps the groove more hypnotic than in your face. Toinen, the second artist album from Sasse will be released in September on Moodmusic and this 12" gives a good insight on things to expect."

"We asked our favorite remixers of the moment to tackle the electronic disco vibe of the original Sasse production taken from his recent album, Made Within The Upper Stairs of Heaven. Peter Dildo, the man behind Trackdown Records has in the past 12 months delivered such dance floor bombs that it was an easy choice to ask him to rework 'Gravity.' Peter delivers his phat trademark sound of deep-house meets postminimal in a slamming arrangement of fine tuned drums and hypnotic synthstabbing. Nick Chacona and his partner in crime, Anthony Mansfield from Hector Works/Rong Music fame takes the original mix through their New York disco mill and delivers a severe piece of doped-up cosmic disco -- only for the headstrong! Last but not least, the Finnish old-school electro guys Mr Velcro Fastener transforms the original into an 808 jam with vocal samples to a final climax."
