The new Sonologyst "sonic documentary" delves into the secretive realm of shortwave transmissions; a chronicle of clandestine shortwave transmissions culled from a span of nearly four decades (1982-2021). These mysterious transmissions -- repetitive voices, signals, sound pulses, short pieces of music -- were collated and edited to compose the tracks of the main album. Immersed in an isolating fog of dark ambient, deep drone music and cinematic sound art, it provides an auditory exploration of the ongoing Cold War. Originating from covert radio stations engaged in military and espionage endeavors, the tracks unveil a hidden sonic landscape of strategic communication. The second disc, in its extensive presentation, provides a deeper immersion into these enigmatic broadcasts. Each recording remains unaltered, accompanied only by a ghostly drone. It offers an unfiltered glimpse into the world of clandestine communication, where words are transmitted beneath the radar and in the shadowy confines of the electromagnetic spectrum. Double CD in a matt-finish gatefold ecopak with graphic design by Abby Helasdottir.

The new Sonologyst album, Interdimensional, explores the paraphysical dimension of cosmic music. It completes the dilation process of his sound, which began with the albums Silencers (CSR 253CD, 2018) and Ancient Death Cults And Beliefs (CSR 270CD, 2020), forming an ideal trilogy inspired by what is beyond the boundaries of science. Interdimensional is inspired by the scientist Michio Kaku who theorized what could be the remote future of the human species, beyond matter, the stars, and known dimensions. A future that could lead you to the victory over the end of everything, beyond the foreseen and inevitable death of the universe known to us. Also, a cosmic record in terms of sound, Interdimensional is pervaded by a sense of stasis reminiscent of Thomas Köner's isolationist electronics, but still characterized by the use of electrified instruments, analog synthesizers, and recordings of resonant metal objects. Unlike the previous records, however, the typical dark experimental/post-industrial sound of Sonologyst is filtered through hazy warping reverberations, and infinite delays, which musically depict the intergalactic journey of a civilization in search of a possible future beyond death.

Profound, ritual dark ambient and apocalyptic drones from Italy's Sonologyst. The veneration of the dead plays an important role in mythology and (nature) religions. It is inspired by fear for wrath of the deceased, and by obtaining their council and favors. A large part of the religious life concentrated therefore around the death cults. This led to the erection of huge monuments (mastabas, pyramids, grave-temples, and rock-graves) in Egypt... but in ancient China, Mesopotamia, and India the dead were also honored by impressive monuments and elaborate rituals. Although the death cults and burial rituals may be different among the nature religions, the reasons are the same; either affection towards the deceased or else fear for the soul wandering in the vicinity of the corpse and which must be appeased (with offerings, prayers, incantations). Common is also a form of cannibalism where the body is eaten in order to obtain some of the strength of the deceased. The mummification of the dead, which originated in the belief of life after death, was an important part of the death cults too. Ancient Death Cults And Beliefs is a deep musical investigation of those cults and beliefs in ancient times. Presented in a matte digipak. Evocative, ritualistic artwork by Abby Helasdottir.

Eerie drones, oscillations from the ether, distorted dark matter, signals from other dimensions... The music of Sonologyst fluctuates between scientific sonic documentaries and psychedelic abstraction, illuminated by early experimentation of the '50s and '60s, as well as future possibilities of the electronic and electro-acoustic. Silencers (The Conspiracy Theory Dossiers) is inspired by the testimonies of those who have had contact with the so-called "Silencers" or "Men in Black". Federal agents? Aliens? International conspirators? Sonologyst makes a documentary in music, including spy tech, declassified documents, official recordings, control techs, secreted scientific information, CIA Deep Black Programs, NASA classified tapes, Secret societies, and breakaway civilization hypotheses. Recommended for those who follow the nebulous paths of Inade, Schloss Tegal, Bad Sector, Lustmord. Presented in a digipak with booklet.
